Further details: In the heart of lovely, dreamy Burgundy landscape, untouched nature with lakes, rivers, meadows, forests, vineyards, churches, cloisters and castles, that's where our romantic farmhouse is situated, baout 2km from Romenay and privately owned. It's a lovely, well-maintained atmosphere, if you like bathing in the swimming pool (12 x 5.5 m) you are very welcome here. The main house is easy to reach on foot from the holiday house. We have 2 horses and 2 ponies available to you on request. If you like good food now and then we'll be happy to cook your chosen food for you on request.

Lovely place to stay

Lovely place to stay for a relaxing and quiet week surrounded by peaceful countryside. Irena and Marc were very welcoming and helpful during our stay, even managed to provide some toys for the children to play with!

A great rustic property recently rennovated to a high standard with good facilities, the children loved the pool and enjoyed feeding the chickens, and got a taste of horse riding on Marc's horses. Great area for wine with plenty of nearby vineyards. There are a number of nearby tourist attractions to visit to keep both adults and children occupied, Louhan nearby had a good market to visit, and a trip to Beaune yields yet more vineyards and wine cellars to visit with a "train" trip around the city.

Highly recommended all in all, I only wish we could have stayed longer...

La Besse, ein Volltreffer!
Dieses schöne gepflegte Ferienhaus ist auch für Rentner ein ideales Domizil, vorausgesetzt man liebt die freie Natur rundum. Wir haben jedenfalls diese Landschaft mit ihren Wiesen und Weiden, Hecken und Baumgruppen, belebt von vielen selten gewordenen Singvögeln, von Charolais-Rindern und von Pferden sehr genossen.
Gut getan hat uns auch die Liebenswürdigkeit und Großzügigkeit unserer Gastgeber Irena und Marc Decurtins.
Sehr lecker war der von beiden initiierte Pizzaabend am echten alten Backofen draußen.
Und der liebevoll gepflegte Swimmingpool war bei großer Hitze das I-Tüpfelchen.
La Besse eignet sich auch gut als Ausgangspunkt zur Besichtigung der vielen romanischen Kirchen Burgunds und anderer kultureller Sehenswürdigkeiten.
Wir jedenfalls kommen gerne wieder!
Owner's Response: Und schon wieder durften wir mit netten Menschen einige tolle Tage geniessen. Unser neues Salzwassersystem hat sich bis Heute bewährt, trotz Regen und Megahitze ist der Pool jeden Tag klar wie ein Bergsee. Die neu gepflanzten Blumen blühen und runden das Bild noch ab. Auch die derzeitigen Mieter geniessen bei dieser Hitze das kühle Nass. Wir freuen uns, dass unsere Feriengäste mit uns und dem Haus zufrieden sind.

Kultur und Entspannung

In dem liebevoll renovierten Haus auf einem wundervollen, ruhigen Grundstück mit Teich und großem Garten haben wir uns bestens erholt. Irena und Marc erwiesen sich als perfekte Gastgeber und haben uns liebevoll betreut. Der sehr gepflegte große Pool erfreute insbesondere die Kinder. Auch die Möglichkeit, mit den Pferden der Vermieter auszureiten, hat uns gut gefallen. Von Romenay aus kann man in kurzer Zeit viele bekannte Sehenswürdigkeiten und Weinanbaugebiete des Burgund erreichen. Auch ein Ausflug ins nahegelegene Jura und an den Genfer See bietet sich an. Freunde von Flohmärkten werden in der Bresse im Sommer ebenfalls auf ihre Kosten kommen.
Owner's Response: Ganz besonders freute ich mich über die Fortschritte, welche eure Kinder im Wasser machten. Als ehem. Schwimmlehrerin macht es mir natürlich auch riesigen Spass meine Kenntnisse weiter zu geben. Auch Marc freut es, wenn er unseren Mietern beim "Wiederaufstieg" aufs Pferd behilflich sein kann oder erste Schritte zum Westernreiten weitergeben kann.

Natur pur + Ruhe pur = Erholung pur

Und dazu hilfsbereite, nette Vermieter. Ein toller Pizzaofen. Angenehme Gespräche. Was will man mehr. Und darum, ja, darum kommen wir gerne wieder.

Owner's Response: Solche netten Worte hören wir gerne, euch dieses Jahr wieder begrüssen zu dürfen toll. Wir üben schon fleissig, damit die nächsten Pizzas noch besser werden. Zur Zeit singt die Nachtigall jeden Abend ein neues Schlaflied für uns und unsere Mieter.Die Frösche geben ihren Komentar dazu und ein Käuzchen versucht da mitzuhalten.

Die liebenswürdige Aufnahme durch die Vermieter lässt den Urlaub zur reinen Freude werden. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Hilfsbereitschaft bei kleinen Problemen.
Die Möglichkeit der Ausritte rundet den Urlaub ab.
Die Pizza aus dem Steinofen war klasse.
