Perfect property in a perfect location

It is astonishing how much one location on the Island of Majorca can be different from another. Less than an hour away from the city atmosphere of Palma and the brash resorts, there is an island of peace and serenity called Deia. At the bottom of one of the more frequented slopes is the villa in question. It met all our expectations (and even exceeded them). There is enough space to have peace alone if required and enough common areas to ensure conviviality. The house is mostly white and reflects what I assume are the buddhist sympathies of the owner(s).
The kitchen was somewhat small for the size of the house, but it was adequate. In any case there are enough places to eat out which is surprising for such a small village. Some of restaurants should have a Michellin star (or two). Apart from a spacious, clean and well maintained property, the beauty of this lovely house is enhanced by the splendor of the surroundings. If you like mountains and a "tourist free" village, Deia is the place for you.
Be warned though, you'll need stamina for walking around as the village comprises a series of small hills with inter-connecting streets. A car is also a very good idea if you want to explore the rest of Majorca. We will definately be going back and would have no hesitation in recommending the house to anyone.
Owner's Response: I am sure visitors to Deia will also fall in love with the village and Cala .... We use our house regularly and promise ourselves we will explore the island but soimehow can't drag ourselves away.
