Positioned high on a natural plateau, with unspoilt views down the Rambla Grande valley, Cortijo Alba provides a tranquil retreat from the bustle of the coast. Having been sympathetically rebuilt using the stone from the original “finca”, this beautifully appointed, traditional villa oozes character. With its cooling, thick stone walls, spacious open plan living accommodation including 4 double bedrooms, (2 with ensuite bathrooms), shaded parking and private pool - everything you need for a relaxing family holiday. During the day, visit the beaches or the local markets, play golf or just take in the sights and smells of all that Almeria has to offer. And to pass away the long warm evenings, why not kick off your shoes and watch the sun go down from the terrace accompanied by freshly barbecued local food, washed down with a nice Rioja, listening to the breeze rustling through the olive grove below. There is also an excellent market on every Monday in Huercal Overa. If its seafood restaurants your after look no further than Garrucha and Mojacar (30 minutes away) Other local attractions include a water park at vera, Mini-Hollywood theme park,Lorca Castle and many more.

Excellent villa, spacious, clean and very well equipped. First class customer service from the management company ( Jake & Paula ), nothing was too much trouble. Kids loved the good sized pool, the water park at nearby Vera and the sky TV! A real rural retreat, breath taking views and total peace and quiet. As the villa is off the beaten track, we would recommend booking the meet and greet service to help you find your bearings. The whole family had the best holiday and we would like to thank the owner Maggie for all her friendly help and advice throughout the booking.
