Accommodation all on one level. 1 Double bedroom with en suite bathroom. 1 Twin Bedroom with en suite shower room. Garden with patio & BBQ. WIFI Internet Access. Weekly Bookings Saturday Start Day. A newly converted and renovated holiday home in the popular village of Wass. Both bedrooms have beautiful marble tiled bathrooms with stylish chrome fittings and power showers in both. The sitting room and double bedroom enjoy views over the pretty garden. With the exception of the gently sloping pathway, once inside, the property is all on one level with no steps and ideal for all age groups and those with slight walking difficulties. The property is only 6 miles from Helmsley and Rievaulx and less than half a mile from Byland Abbey. York is approximately 35 minutes drive. There are 2 pubs, one in the village and the other in Byland Abbey both of which are within walking distance and offer excellent food.

Wass is located in the North York Moors National Park. There is a pub in the village and also one in the next village of Old Byland which is less than 10 minutes walk. From Wass you can travle to many locations all within about 40 minutes drive time, including:- York, Whitby, Scarborough. Other popular market towns such as Helmsley and Pickering are approximately 20 minutes by car.

Nestling against a sheltering tree-covered hill, Wass is a tranquil village and the cottage, Underhill, is comfortable and spotlessly clean. Its garden is a delight. There are many walks in the vicinity, gentle or demanding as required, or short drives will access country houses, abbeys, local pubs, good restaurants and other lovely villages.

The owners' recommendations for local attractions were plentiful and well founded.

My sister and I, with husbands, have visited twice and hope to do so again!
