1 Double Bedroom, 1 Twin Bedroom , 1 Single Bedroom, 1 Pet Welcome. Weekly Bookings Saturday Start Day. This is a very cosy cottage for 4 -5 people in the village of Nawton which is a few miles from the popular market towns of Helmsley & Pickering. The village has a pub and a good Indian Restaurant and there are plenty of excellent places to eat in the local area. Whitby & Scarborough are approximately 30 minutes drive and York is approximately 40 minutes drive. The area is ideal for walking and there are many tourist attractions such as Castle Howard, Nunnington Hall and The North Yorkshire Moors railway at Pickering. Ground Floor:- Open plan sitting room/ dining room & kitchen. Downstairs Cloakroom. First Floor:- Double Bedroom Single Bedroom (this has a low single bed and is more suitable as a children's room). Bathroom - new bathroom with bath with overhead & hand held shower, wash hand basin & WC. Second Floor:- Twin Bedroom Outside:- Patio with table & chairs BB.

Great Cottage, Well Equipped & Clean - recommended

We stayed at this property for Easter 2009. A family of 4 with 2 small children.
The cottage is very clean & well equipped throughout so we brought far too much stuff with us which we didnt need! The cottage has a lot of things which I didnt expect and it was great to be able to do a load of washing, especially when you have kids! It also have a great broadband/ wifi connection.
The cottage is very central in the small village, with the local pub being at the end of the street. There is plenty to do in the local area & the house is well located for visiting numerous lacal attractions.
Initially we found the house fairly cold as we couldnt figure out the central heating, but the owner rectified this and showed us how to work it. There are also a couple of portable heaters. This wont be a problem in warmer months!
The bedrooms are all spacious - the middle room great for my little one who is 2 as the bed was low. The room on the top floor has 2 single beds and is warm and spacious. My 4 year old loved it in there as the ceilings are sloping.
All in all, I would certainly come back here and recommend anyone else to stay here too.
