A large 3 bedroomed town house. Ground floor - lounge with TV/satellite/DVD complete with small kitchen and shower/toilet. First floor - fully equiped kitchen, lounge/dining room with bed settee (sleeps up to 3) with TV/satellite/DVD the house also has internet/wifi. Second floor - shower/toilet. Bedroom 1 - double with wardrobe, Bedroom 2 - twin with wardrobe and Bedroom 3 - with bunk beds plus stowaway bed. Roof Terrace - with shaded area and garden furniture. Terrace has sea and mountain views with magnificent sunsets. House is located in the old town by the Moorish Castle and the tropical gardens. Only minutes away from beach, local markets, shops, tapas bars and restaurants.

This town house is located in the old town just minutes walk to San Christobel beach and close to tropical gardens and the Moorish Castle. It is ideally suited to families and the more mature clients as this is at the lower end of the very pretty cobbled streets of Almunecar. It is also close to all the boutique shops, bars, restaurants and night life. There is a local fresh fish, fruit and vegetable market, and a supermarket are all in very short walking distance so there is no reason to hire a car since everything you could possibly need is here on your doorstep. Along the coastline are numerous beaches and sheltered coves. You are just 1½ hour drive to the ski resorts of the Seirra Nevada. Almunecar has a very good bus service going to major cities, Granada, Madrid, Malaga and Sevilla etc. For further information we are also close to the Tourist Information office who are very helpful and can speak several languages.

Notes: Although this house is accessible there are a couple of steps at the entrance so may not be ideal for wheelchair access and bedrooms are on the second floor so two staircases to climb. Request for smokers to use the roof terrace.

Almunecar: Almunecar is a holiday resort town with lots of history, the Moorish Castle, the Roman fish salting factory, the Moroccan built Tourist Information office and much much more. Almunecar has a Friday market with lots of interesting buys. There is also a local fish/fruit market in the centre of town open every morning except Sunday. Alumencar is great for evening walks - shopping, sundowners, restaurants and tapas bars. There is a waterpark just a 15 minute walk away and there are discos and clubs for the young at heart.

The Los Moriscos Golf Course has 9 holes which are combined to create an 18-hole round with a total distance of 5,072 metres. Los Moriscos lies in spectacularly beautiful countryside. This was opened in 1974 and is mainly flat but you will find this more than interesting with the abundance of exotic fruit plantations, including papaya and mango. An unbelievable setting for a game of golf where you will thoroughly enjoy the contrast provided by the views of the sea and the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Golf clubs can be provided at an extra cost.

I went to Almunecar and stayed in this property February 2008 and 2009. Although it was winter, the weather was lovely. The town was pretty quiet but it was perfect for a get away.

There is a local bus station that can get you to many surrounding towns easily. We went to Granada for the day to see the Alhambra palace.

The house was well maintained and had everything you would need. It's in a perfect location near the beach and has many bars/restaurants and supermarkets just down the road. There was also a roof terrace to relax on if you didn't fancy going out.

I will definately be booking more flights in the near future and will be staying again! 5 out of 5!

Great Holiday

Had a really great time at Brenda and Billy's town house. The house itself is first class with everything you could wish for, plenty of space and comfort. The town has lots of choice for things to do, lovely bars and restaurants and a great beach, fully recomend it.

The house is very nicely furnished with all mod-cons and very well-maintained.
The owners Bill and Brenda were more than helpful.
We will recommend the property to our friends.
There are a lot of local restaurants with attractive " menu del dias ". One, " Lute " which is just around the corner is especially good.

The property had everything you could ever want. All the amenities plus TV's and computer, its good if ever there are times it's just too hot to be outdoors. everything was well furnished and comfortable. There was so much availible space for living quaters as there are 4 floors. We particularly loved spending our evenings on the roof bar terrace as it was a good social area. It also has a hob up there so i cooked pyjella one night.
Its easy enough to walk to the sea front and the bars there are pleasent for an evening out. There are market stalls set out during the day which sell beautiful jewelry, apart from this there is not much in terms of shopping. But there are numerous supermercados in the town and fresh fruit and veg grocers, we loved the kilo of figs we got for 2euros.
It's also easy enough to get to any of the major cities via the buses, the station is only a 8 minute walk and it is resonable pricing. We took a day trip to Granada and saw the Alhambra Palace, a very picturesque place. You should also check out the bird park just round the corner from the house "loro sexi" just along the sea front 4euros.
The beaches in Almenucar are pebbly but none the less good. Try to head there before 3 in the afternoon to book your spot as it generally gets more busy then.
I highly recomend this as an enjoyable holiday. Im pretty sure we'll be back at some point. Thanks Georgia

This property is a home from home I would definitely recommend it to anyone. It is maintained to a very high standard and has everything that you could possibly need. The owners were very friendly and helpful, responding to our enquiries straight away.

From the house it is only a couple of minutes walk to bars, various shops, ice cream places and a bakery that is open everyday selling bread that's been made onsite each morning.

It is a 5-10 minute easy walk to the beach or castle from this house. The locals who live near are very friendly and would always speak, one man waited most mornings for us to go out just to give my children some sweets. At night time we often went to the main square for a drink where there are several bars close together, we were able to sit outside and have a drink while watching our children playing with others, all the time a safe environment away from traffic.
