Alghero holiday apartment

The discription and photos of the property do not do it justice.Layout and facilities were excellent.Brand new. Lovely detail and colour scheme even the delph!Highly maintained and spotless.The halls and landings maitained to the same high standard.Owners are lovely.No english but the agent Ashley Ainsworth can be reached by phone and is more than helpful.The property is situated on a very quiet residential street only 5 mins from sea.It is a good 10 min walk to old town but you dont need a car.Instead hire bikes.It is the very best way to see Alghero.We are a family of four.Our daughters are18 and 17. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms are essential to us. The large living area was a bonus .Kitchen small but well laid out leading both to balcony and living area. Balcony small but we lived on it! All in all it was perfect for our needs.We usually hire a car for the full duration of the holiday.We only took it for the last 3 days in ALghero as we enjoyed the bikes so much .We saw so much more of the area than we would have done with a car.And it was so much quicker to get around.No traffic jams and no searching for parking.Alghero is beatiful and covers a large area lido marina and old town.If you want a holiday away from small clausterphobic and tired apartments down at the lido area where everyone is on top of each other Giallo is the one for you.The walk down to the old town on the sea road is superb.Views are amazing.I wolud say if standards and the atmosphere of being in a beautiful sardinian city
are more important than being on the beach all day you have the best of both worlds here.I am so glad that we stayed at this end of town rather than lido area.It was a citybreak and sunholiday combined.Do the hop on hop off tour early morning.It goes to Capo Cacia.Stunning views on way.Get off there and do the caves.600 odd steps down and then you have to come up!Also on the way back get off at Fertillia.Make a full day of your ticket.
