Venice city centre holiday apartment

I am so pleased that we decided to stay outside of the central tourist district in this wonderful apartment with the best view I could have imagined. We walked or rode the water taxi to get where we needed to go. The immediate neighborhood was splendid, quiet and friendly. We had great food at a restaurant just a few doors down. The supermarket was a short 6 minute walk as was the San Basillio water taxi stop, our gateway to the rest of the main tourist areas. The apartment was clean, well maintained and had a great view from its top deck.

This apartment is not for those who cannot handle a 5 flight walk-up and a narrow circular staircase within but if you're fit, its a great find! We were close to the train and bus stations which cut our travel costs down when moving luggage from point to point and of particular importance to us, the ship port, where we had to go to pick up our cruise, was easily reached by private water taxi which pulled up to our front door. We paid 70 Euro for all 8 of us, with luggage, to be dropped right to the check in point at the cruise line.
