Picture postcard country house on hectare of fully enclosed garden park. Situated just outside La Bussière sur Ouche, near to the Burgundy canal. 3 large double & 1 lge twin bedrooms, one double downstairs next to bathroom and separate toilet, 2ND bathroom and three large double bedrooms upstairs. New kitchen with DW, washing machine, MW, oven and cook top. The dining area seats eight. The large lounge with stone fireplace has three sofas, TV, entertainment system (DVD,CD), computer(wi-fi). Three sets of French doors open onto garden. The pool (9x4m) area with sunloungers overlooks valley and rest of garden. Patio adjacent to house has gas BBQ and outdoor dining setting. Local village, Abbaye de La Bussière with its Michelin starred restaurant, bakery & canal are in walking distance. Fishing, walking trails & horse riding close by. Beaune, Dijon and world famous vineyards only 30 mins away. Property has 2 streams running through the property so may not be suitable for young children.

Located just outside the village of La Bussière sur Ouche, the site of a beautiful 12th C Cistercian Abbey which is now a Relais and Chateaux hotel with Michelin starred restaurant. The beautiful Ouche valley and canal stretch all the way to Dijon with its fabulous architecture and great food market. Also nearby is historic Beaune with its Hospice and quaint markets. The Morvan National Park, 200 castles, the Cistercian abbey of Fontenay, medieval towns & half-timbered houses can all be found within a half day trip within the Côte D`Or. And, of course, some of the most famous vineyards in France and the world are within easy reach

  • The bathrooms are spacious and warm. The downstairs bathroom has a separate toilet. The upstairs bathroom is particularly spacious and characterful. There is also a hot open air shower near the pool and it is a great favourite with visitors due to the fabulous view. A new boiler was installed in Spring 09. Water pressure is excellent.

  • B1 Very spacious room, next to bathroom and direct access to patio and garden. B2 very large room with beautiful exposed beam . B3 the smallest but still large double room also with exposed beam. B4 very large room with 2 singles, sofa bed and library shelves. All bedrooms have good quality beds and furniture including chest of drawers and wardrobes. Upstairs the flooring is oak floorboards. Carpet is laid in the downstairs bedroom. There is an additional room upstairs for quiet reading and relaxing. Cot/s and high chairs can be supplied on request.

The streams are not deep (20 to 30 cm) but they are not enclosed and the water in them can run fairly fast. Parents are advised that special care must be taken with supervision of children at all times For older children, IE school age, this is a very special property for games and exploring. Board and outdoor games are provided, great DVD and (english) book selection available. Petanque set provided. The area is a gourmand`s delight!
