This seafront apartment is situated on the second floor of one of Largs' historic, landmark buildings. Sandringham Court commands a unique central location that combines stunning views across the Firth of Clyde with ease of access to all local facilities. The flat has been lovingly restored to enhance and maintain the original charm of the building, while ensuring that all conveniences of modern living are completely catered for. The apartment has a large lounge with bay window and feature fireplace (double sofa bed), 1 double bedroom, a fully equipped, modern kitchen with adjoining dining area, luxury bathroom with walk in shower. The flat is light and spacious. All rooms are fully furnished. The apartment is ideal for two wanting to enjoy comfortable, quiet living at the sea, after a day enjoying Scotland.

From the pier one can board The Waverly, the world's last sea going paddle steamer, and cruise the beautiful islands that abound, or take the short ferry crossing to Cumbrae, where cycling or walking around the island is a local tradition. Cumbrae has wind surfing and diving centres. Largs and the local area has sandy beaches, there's a sports centre, swimming, bowling, bowls and children's play parks Largs has a wide selection of friendly pubs and restaurants. Trains/buses 2 minutes walk away connect to Glasgow for those seeking city sophistication. You can walk the coastal path and surrounding hills, or just sit and enjoy the constantly changing views.

Notes: The apartment is on the second floor, with no lift, so although the accommodation itself is ideal for elderly/infirm clients, one needs to be able to manage the stairs. For similar reasons, although we are quite happy to host children, the sleeping arrangements are one bedroom with double bed, a double sofa bed in the lounge and a child's bed available

Golf: Scotland is the home of Golf. Largs is no exception, there are 2 excellent golf courses, where visitors are very welcome. Within 10 minutes one can find another 4 courses at Millport, Skelmorlie, Kilbirnie and West Kilbride. If this isn't enough, within a short drive there are more than 40 other courses, including the historic open courses of Prestwick, Royal Troon and Turnberry. This without going to Glasgow or further afield.There are courses to suit everyone's taste and ability In Scotland 2009 is 'Homecoming' year, celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burn's. 'The Open' is coming home to Turnberry in July this year. In the apartment you will find details of all local courses, including costs, phone numbers and how to get there. With careful planning and Scotland's long summer days, it is possible to play 2 courses a day, for your entire vacation, without playing the same course twice.

Beautiful apartment - pity about the weather

This apartment is beautiful - everything is top quality, every appliance or accessory you might need, and plenty to keep you amused on rainy days, including a very good selection of books, sat TV and a view to die for. Quiet location, a few minutes walk from the town and the ferry to Cumbrae. 2nd floor no lift not really suitable for elderly or disabled people. Highly recommended.

What a great holiday.

I can't recommend this flat highly enough. It is beautifully refurbished and furnished. It's comfortable, clean, everything works well, is good quality and appeared to be brand new. It's in a great location, we enjoyed walks along the front, cycling, ferry trips as well as watching the boats and swans on the Firth of Clyde. The proximity to the local transport and shops means you can leave the car behind too. Largs is a great seaside town, the flat is perfect, you won't be disappointed if you book this.
