Now here`s a thoroughly modern solution to living in the centre of a bustling historic city. An award winning three storey town house set into the hillside, with light, comfortable and tranquil rooms including all the mod cons. There`s even a little garden winding down to the garage with space for one car inside, and another on the forecourt. Architect designed in 1990, this contemporary house is unconventional with bedrooms on the ground and upper floors and a large split-level kitchen and living room/ dining room on the lower ground floor. It has huge south-facing picture windows throughout, with sunshine filtered through the mature trees of Hedgemead Park below. The living room with its double-height ceiling, woodland vistas and wood-burning stove is reminiscent of a ski lodge and is furnished in retro style with slouchy leather armchairs and cosy wool sofa. You can simply step out of your front door and head down the hill through the park into Walcot Street, a treasure-trove of shopping that leads into the City Centre. Here are a myriad of bars, galleries, museums, shops and restaurants. Alternatively, cross over the Lansdown Road to explore the glorious Georgian architecture of The Circus and The Royal Crescent. There are lots of Museums and lovely Victoria Park beyond for hot-air balloons or a picnic. It couldn't be easier! Private garage is available for one car and space for another on the forecourt in front of the drive. Alternatively the train and bus stations are a 15-20 minute walk away
