If you would like a calm oasis in the centre of Bath, you will find that this spacious picture-book family house, with private gated parking for two cars, a garden and raised sun-deck, is just the thing. Prospect House is enchanting; light pours in through ornate gothic-style stone mullion windows. Dressed in cream and white throughout, the house is as refreshing as a cone of vanilla ice-cream on a hot day. At the heart of the house is a large cream open-plan kitchen and dining room, with a living room attached. With its high ceilings and huge windows, it is a bright and breezy, contemporary, and sociable space which looks out over lawned gardens, surrounding Bath stone houses and the mature trees of Henrietta Park. French doors lead out onto a sunny raised deck with outdoor table and chairs for eight. Formerly part of a school built in the nineteenth century, the house has two floors and three mezzanine levels, all linked by broad stairways.

The third also has two singles with plenty of storage, and a TV with DVD. Finally the master bedroom has a wonderful double-height gabled roof and spacious stunning en-suite bathroom. This beautiful airy space has a king size bed and plenty of fitted storage whilst the large contemporary en-suite has a bath with shower over, hand basin, WC, and bidet. Three of the bedrooms overlook the tranquil back garden through gothic stone windows.

It`s a surprising find in the centre of Bath with all the fun and fizz of the city within a five-minute level stroll. There is a wonderful array of shops, restaurants, bars, museums, galleries, cinemas and theatres close at hand, including a Waitrose supermarket for everyday essentials. There are fascinating historic sites nearby such as the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and the Pump Rooms, as well as the recently opened Thermae Spa where you can experience the healing, bubbling Bath spa waters for yourself. It is a small city and delightful to explore on foot. Bath`s historic Georgian architecture is evident all around and all major sites are within walking distance. The train and bus stations are a ten-minute walk away.
