The historic old fishing village of Javea is situated on the most easterly point of the Spanish mainland with its beautiful rugged coastline it was voted by the World Health Authority as having an ideal climate with an average of 320 days of sunshine. Javea is ideally situated approx. 100 km from Alicante /Valencia airports. Javea is divided into three areas, The Old Town with its ancient church and narrow cobbled streets, the port with daily fish market, bars and restaurants. The beautiful bay known as The Arenal has sandy beaches ,bars and restaurants and shops is a very lively place during the summer. Benidorm 30 minutes drive has the Terra Mitica Theme and Natura Parks,also Aqualandia water ride park. The Jalon valley is set just inland with its magnificent views and restaurants. The weekly outdoor market is on a Thursday where you can buy fresh fruit and veg also local items. You can still eat out for about 10 euros with a three course meal with drink.
