The Property is half a mile from Lee-on-the-Solent seafront which looks across at the Isle of Wight. A short trip by car Portsmouth will allow you to get the ferry to the Island where you will be taken back about 20 years in time. A couple of days would be required to fully explore the Island. To the east also is the historic city of Portsmouth with all its navy ships plus a tour of HMS Victory, Mary Rose and a number of ships that have been used in wars over the past 25 years. To the West you can have a fabulous couple of days in the New Forest where the speed limit is only 40mph and animals have right of way. The Forest is full of beautiful quaint villages

My family and I stayed at the house in July, a beautiful home. I loved the decor and each room was finished to a very high standard. The owner was very helpful and had provided a booklet of nearby things to do. The area was great, in a quiet estate but no more than 10 minutes walk to the seafront and high street where there are many shops and restaurants. On sunny days we enjoyed an ice cream sitting on the seafront. We also went shopping in both Portsmouth and Southampton, which were a short drive away. We managed to go walking around the New Forest twice which was really good. We went over to the Isle of Wight and explored the island, which everyone really enjoyed. Cooking at home was good fun and the kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans and utensils. The kids loved the use of the pool room next to the garage and the hot tub was a personal favourite.. Overall a very enjoyable 2 weeks and I would highly recommend this lovely house.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities

Gorgeous Character Property

We spent a week here and had a fabulous stay. The house is wonderfully presented in a French Shabby Chic style throughout, with comfortable furnishings, superb attention to detail and a lovely garden.
Everything you need is right on the door step and the village and sea are a 10 minute walk away. There's plenty to do for the kids and Lee on the Solent seems to have it's very own weather front, so whilst it may be raining everywhere else, Lee is basking in sunshine!

I would highly recommend this property for a lovely, relaxing 5* stay
