Photos and Description of this Loja holiday apartment 2 Bedrooms both with en suite bathrooms. Sleeps 2/4 people.

Casita Almendras is approved to the high standards and registered with the Andalucian Tourist Board. The casita is single storey and built in stone within gated grounds and has the private use of the larger than average tiled pool, which has underwater lighting for night swimming. There is a tiled shower by the pool as well as sun loungers, umbrellas and tables on the south facing terrace. The well equipped interior has a leather suite, lamps and coffee tables as well as a fitted kitchen with black granite work surfaces, fridge/freezer and stainless steel range type cooker. TV with sky, DVD and CD players are provided. Both bedrooms have 2x single beds as well as dressing tables, large wardrobes and a chest of drawers. The ensuite bathrooms have large shower cubicles, toilets and hand basins in white as well as extractor fans. There is a shaded sitting area on the private terrace for dining out or for just sitting and admiring the mountain views. Windows and doors all have fly screens.

Local shops, restaurants and banks can be found in Algarinejo as well as an award winning restaurant.All the other villages have restaurants which still serve superb free tapas when you order a drink - as this is the 'real ' Spain. The many villages nearby have regular markets which sell home grown products - an ideal way to buy fresh tasty fruit and vegetables.Bike hire can be booked at the beautiful historic nearby town of Priego de Cordoba or Rute to fully explore the surrounding olive groves. The area is popular with bird watchers, walkers and botanists as there are a variety of unusual plants like wild orchids to be seen especially in Spring. The village of Ventorros de San Jose is 10 minutes drive away and has the historical site of the Dolman tombs, also in the area close to Montifrio are Roman remains. Rio Frio with its trout farms and fishing is 25 minutes away. The wolf park at Antequerra is about 50 minutes drive from the casita. The famous Alhambra Palace is about an hour.

  • The shower rooms are ensuite and are in white porcelain and have extractor fans installed. The shower cubicles are built in and have 900 x900 shower trays installed. Beautifully fully tiled in white with Andalusian blue border tiles.

  • The single beds can be made up into a large double bed if required. Please email your requirements when booking. Dressing table and drawers as well as a large built in wardrobe and bed side light in each bedroom. Heaters are added in the cooler winter months and a fan for the summer months. There are fly screens at the windows to enable the warm breeze to flow through in the Spring and Summer months. Views of the surrounding mountains and olive groves from the bedroom windows.

I have stayed in this property several times and it is just fantastic.The apartments are immaculate and to a very high standard . Furnishings are tasteful and of very high quality.The apartments lack nothing.Ken keeps the pool area absolutely lovely and clean and well kept and he cannot do enough to make your holiday the best.
The hosts Sue and Ken are wonderful and nothing is to much trouble for them.
So much so my sister is visiting soon,as i have recommended it to her.

Superb directions excellent property great customer service have already recommended it to friends
Will return when a little cooler as walks look great
All in all a great place to get away from it all and experience whats left of real Spain away from the tourists
and the rat race
