Located among the banana plantations, olive groves and vineyards of West Cyprus the village of Pegeia is situated on the hill side looking down towards the sea. In the centre are the town hall, the church, supermarkets, tavernas and restaurants that provide a variety of different styles of eating. You are only a short drive away from the Coral Bay resort where there is a very pleasant sandy beach with sun loungers to hire if you feel the need for a bit of sun worship. You are never too far away from a bar of restaurant either on the beach or if you go into the main resort area where there are also a number of banks, shops, tour offices and places where equipment can be hired. The main road is not far away should you require to go further afield. The Akamas peninsular offers good walking, mountain biking or land rover safaris with many isolated bays for the quiet swim.
