Good for walking tours:
This is an excellent situation for making your walking tours in the mountains of Mallorca - for instance from Deya to Valldemossa, or Deya to Solle, and along the cliffs on the seacoast toward Soller. The Deya Cala is a 25 minute walk down the valley, where from April 15 and on into the fall, there are 2 fish restaurants, and a stony beach.
The walk to the center of the village of Deya is 15 minutes up the hill.
Attractions:
The Robert Graves home, now converted to a museum, is open most days of the week. There are many painters living in town, and there are regular exhibitions of their work. The Deya International Festival of Chamber Music takes place once a week from April to September, in the summer residence of the late Archduke Luis Salvador of Austria.
Restaurants:
There are several restaurants in the village itself, including 2 with Michelin stars, one dedicated to French cooking, and three Mallorcan style, plus a popular tapas bar decorated with paintings by local artists.
