Smart apartment in Balzan
Review Submitted: August 21, 2009
Date of Stay: August 2009
This August we stayed in the smaller apartment with 2 bedrooms. The furnishings are stylish and pleasant like pictured in the ad. The property and the home appliances therein appeared freshly renovated or even new. The rooms were clean and tidy and each equipped with aircondition. Even WiFi was available, but weak and depending on location.
Initial contacts to the owner were by email and the deposit could be wired uncomplicated. Anyway, I had some doubts before our arrival, because he was "new on the market". But that was baseless. Direct after landing we received a SMS from him and he took care until we met at the apartment. The village of Balzan is at the periphery of Malta's east coast urbanisation (many one-ways), the house lies in a quiet street with parking spaces available. Bus stops are also close by.
Within 15 min walking there are - to the west: the San Anton Gardens, a 5star-Hotel with restaurants, another restaurant, an excellent pub, and to the east a fine bakery, and a McDonalds. A small grocery is just opposite the street and a supermarket is five minutes by car (if you don't loose the way). The area harbours more residents, but less tourists.
