This beautiful property is a fully renovated old stone farmhouse with stunning views. There are four spacious double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, a kitchen/dining room, living room with open fireplace and terraces for dining and relaxation. The property is an olive farm situated in the foothills close to the beaches of Sabaudia, Sperlonga and Terracina and is one hour south of Rome. There is an excellent train service for day trips to the capital. The English owner (who speaks French, German and Italian) has considerable knowledge of the area and can organize day trips to historic sites, gardens, food markets, etc. The olive harvest takes place during the last two weeks of October and guests are welcome to join in this unique experience.

The house is located in the Regional Naturale Campo Soriano, a nature reserve characterised by one of the most significant karst plateaus of the whole Mediterranean. The reserve covers about 974 hectares and recently featured in La Republica as one of the five most unspoilt locations in Italy. The protected territory lies in the Ausoni Mountains near Terracina and is renowned for its stunning wild flowers. The famous gardens of Ninfa are nearby as well as the historic town of Anagni and the beaches of Sabaudia. Terracina is a pleasant seaside resort between Rome and Naples. It was an important port on the Roman Appian Way, and the site of a major temple to Jupiter. Nowadays the modern town spreads out on the plain below the hills, along a wide sandy beach which attracts many summer visitors. Other attractions include a weekly market but also daily vegetable and fish markets. The annual Pontina Music Festival is held every summer and attracts many international musicians.

Stayed in this property in July with our 4 children , mother and sister. The house was beyond any of our expectations, very tastefully decorated and well equipped. The area was very relaxing. It was lovely to retreat back to the house in the evenings and appreciate the beautiful surroundings. Beaches very clean and safe. We had some really lovely fish meals in Sperlonga. Could not recommend this house highly enough. We would all love to have stayed longer and hope to return some time in the future.

Fabulous villa

What a find! If you are looking for a place to get away from it all this ticks all the right boxes. The pictures on the website really don’t do this villa justice, set in beautiful surroundings – up a mountain surrounded by olive trees this felt like the real Italy. We holidayed here for a week with our two year old and loved it. Having a car is essential, but the lovely beaches and nearby towns are within easy reach. Rome isn’t far away either; we took the train up for the night which only took an hour. The villa is spacious, clean and equipped with all the essentials for a family. I would highly recommend it if you’re looking for a lovely get away and a taste of real Italy.

Extremely beautiful area in the hills south of Rome. Nice beaches a short drive away at Sperlonga, Terracina and San Felice Circeo, excellent for children and adults alike. Very easy to get to Rome or Naples on the train, a short drive from the house.

House is very large, spotless and comfortably furnished, Each room has it's own ensuite bathroom. Set on a steep hill side in old olive groves (and Mary's olive oil is delicious!) with views down the valley and walks along the hills.

I had the most relaxing holiday I've had for years there. Could not recommend it higher. Excellent.

great holiday

We have had three amazing holidays at this property, its beautifull, clean and comfortable, great showers.
Spend time sitting under the olive trees or picking wild asparagus for dinner! May is amazing for spring flowers and fireflies! The beach a short drive away is stunning and there are lovely places to eat there too, you can dip your toes in the sea whilst eating great sea food. In october we picked Olives and the owner took us to the olive press and we had twelve bottles of delicious olive oil to take home for Christmas presents!!
In september we will celibrate my 60th there.
