Ideally located attractive stone Farmhouse to explore Mont St Michel, Normandy & Brittany. Our Farmhouse, gite and apartment have been tastefully restored to the highest standards. We have extensive gardens and grassy grounds bordered by a stream with fields and woods beyond, are there for your relaxation and enjoyment.It is set in nearly two acres in the outskirts of the village Vergoncey. Farmhouse has spacious open plan hall, Lounge with open fireplace. The beamed but modern kitchen with dining area, integrated oven, microwave, dishwasher, American fridge/freezer, 42'' LCD TV (English and French channels), DVD player with films, Tape/CD player, hair dryer, games and books. Cloakroom and an office with unlimited internet access. A conservatory, overlooking the garden and surrounding fields, is ideal for reading and relaxing. All three bedrooms are en-suite. There is also utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. All reception rooms open on to the large terrace.

The Gite has a separate entrance on the ground floor opening into an open plan lounge/diner/kitchen with integrated appliances including dishwasher, washing machine/dryer and flat screen LCD TV (English & French channels), DVD, music system, hair dryer, games and books. Stairs lead to the 1st floor with 2 double bedrooms each with en-suite shower rooms and a sofabed in the lounge.The Gite has doors to a large terrace equipped with table, chairs, barbecue and overlooks the garden and surrounding fields. The Gite has electric heating and has a private parking area. The cost is inclusive of bed linen (not towels), heating, gas, water and electricity. The Village of Vergoncey is under a mile away, has a Baker also selling basic groceries & drinks. Pontorson town mid way between Vergoncey and Mont St Michel, it offers general shopping & restaurants (6 miles). Market day is on Wednesday morning. St James a small town offering shopping, bars, restaurants & the nearest supermarkets (4miles).

The Farmhouse located 9 km from the most impressive attraction of Le Mont St Michel and Avranches 14 km in the other direction is one of the oldest and historical towns in Normandy. The nearest beach Saint-Jean-le-Thomas 20 km from the house. The farmhouse is situated on the border of Normandy and Brittany there are lots of places to visit and things to do around and about the area. Mont Saint Michel which can be seen few yards from the Farmhouse. The area is easily accessible from the ferry ports of St Malo, Cherbourg, Caen, Le Harve, and Dieppe and 4 hours drive from the channel tunnel. The Village of Vergoncey is under a mile away, has a Baker also selling basic groceries and drinks. Pontorson town mid way between Vergoncey and Mont St Michel, it offers general shopping and restaurants (6 miles). Market day is on Wednesday morning. Saint James a small town offering shopping, bars, restaurants including the nearest supermarket (4 miles ). Market day is on Monday.

We stayed at the Gite for a couple of days in late April. The Gite is located in a very quiet setting but very close to the key sights. Mont-Saint-Michel is some 20 min drive. The Gite is luxuriously renovated with all one needs. The view from one of the bedrooms is gorgeous - a hilly, rural landscape. The owner was very responsive to all our requests and made the booking process easy. Overall, I would highly recommend this Gite for people seeking to explore Normandy and the neighbouring Bretagne.

This is a modern, very comfortable, well maintained, and spacious Gite with all the modern conveniences found back home. The location is ideal for visiting Mont St Michael and the surrounding area: St Malo, Bayeaux, St Lo, Normandy Landing Beaches. The area surrounding the Gite is quiet and peaceful which is perfect for local walks in the evening.

The booking, arrival and departure process is extremely efficient and the information provided by the owners is very good. The extra touches provided are very good: bottle of wine and orange juice on arrival, tea and coffee provisions, and sufficient cleaning materials to maintain the property throughout the week.

The garden surrounding the Gite is vast with plenty of room for children to run around, play games, explore and enjoy an afternoon or evening in the local area. Overall this property is an ideal base for exploring both Normandy and eastern Brittany or the local area around Mont St Michael. You will not be disappointed with the quality or standard of this comfortable gite.
