'The View' consists of approximately 55 luxurious two and three bedroom village houses, situated within landscaped gardens on the slope on the hillside overlooking Salema. This air conditioned villa is beautifully furnished and equipped with contemporary products and appliances from prestigious brands. All bedrooms are on the ground floor (one double and 2 twin) All bedrooms lead out to a small garden which in turn leads to the main pool area. The main bedroom has a bathroom suite and there is one further bathroom. UPSTAIRS; The lounge/dining area has sliding door out to the balcony and is equipped with SAT TV, DVD and mini Hi-Fi, exceptionally comfortable seating and a well equipped dining area. Clients at Casa Barola will be able to enjoy the benefits of a Resort reception, restaurant, a communal heated pool, children's pool and poolside bar.

Spacious villa with suberb sea views

Had a wonderful ten days stay at The View. Rare experience of arriving to find that the photos didn't do the place justice! The villa was much bigger than expected and we enjoyed the luxury touches such as the jacuzzi bath and the large walk in shower! loved all the windows around the living area letting in loads of light and allowing wonderful panoramic views over the swimming pool and out to sea! Property was very clean and was cleaned every few days while we were there.

We have a young toddler and it was helpful to be able to hire a travel cot and highchair although we realised when we got there that a stairgate would also have been very handy!

Only downsides were that the directions provided involved combining the relevant bits of two separate sets of instructions (with the actual villa number buried at the end of one!). When we arrived the safe was still locked and therefore unusable and despite reporting this to the agents responsible for the property and following it up this was not dealt with during our stay. Also, the information provided in the villa was very basic - it didn't even tell you where the local supermarkets were (I recommend Lidl further west along the main highway) and you had to plough through the manuals for any appliances when a few sentences on how to turn them on would have been fine! And we were definitely glad to have brought a guidebook!

However overall the property itself was fantastic.

Well appointed modern property

This property exceeded our expectations. Knowing the area well we had never stayed at View 1 before although we had walked through the development.The complex is small and friendly and about a 10 minute walk from Salema village (downhill going but steeply uphill on the way back!!). This particular house is right by the Pool (which is a decent size) thereby making it ideal if you have children and want to feel "in the thick of the action". The location also means it has a more open aspect, rather than some of the properties down the hill which are closer together. The property is spacious, neutrally & pleasantly decorated, well appointed with modern conveniences and was clean and tidy. There are nice touches like a large shower in the main ensuite, a jacuzzi bath in the family bathroom, modern entertainment systems and a dishwasher. The arrangement of living rooms on the first floor is good in that it allows you some views of the sea although they are interrupted by rooftops. The terrace off the living room was a good size and accommodated good furniture and a gas fired BBQ which was great to have. The best, and 360 degree, views are from the roof terrace. There were no chairs or loungers up there at the time of our stay. The property, overall has an airy feel about it and being on the end of a 3 house terrace you only have neighbours on one side. Having stayed in a variety of properties in this area we felt that this was the best to date and benefitted hugely from being only a few years old. We visited during the October half term in 2009 and the complex was very quiet then. We gather from other property owners that it would have a very different feel in the height of Summer. In short, we would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.
