Located in the ancient Roman Dekumanus street, casa Parentium is a rare jewel in the heart of the historic centre of Porec. The building itself is over 100 years old and is located near the Palazzo Zuccato between Eufrasia's Basilica and the colourful port. The entire historic center is closed off to traffic all year round so while on holiday you will not hear cars, scooters and other forms of traffic. If you have a lot of luggage, we will arrange to meet you and transfer you to the nearest point to the apartment where cars are allowed, about 200 meters away. All modern conveniences have been taken into consideration when restoring this apartment and it is ideal for families and friends as it can sleep up to 6 people in its 2 double rooms which can be made up as doubles or twins.

The so called Green Istria has many colourful hilltop towns dotted along the countryside, each one unspoiled and characteristic with its medieval streets and churches. Porec itself is bustling and offers something for everyone from sports to water recreations, many beaches and a great variety of restaurants, cafes and excellent shopping. Notes: This is truly a unique property as we have lovingly restored this apartment from the early 1900s trying to keep all its original style (i.e. large double doors leading to each room ) and yet giving it all modern furbishing such as WI-FI internet, Satellite TV and Air Conditioning. The building itself is very interesting and has 2.5 floors - one apartment per floor. Apartment Parentium is located on the second floor (no lift).

WHAT TO DO IN POREC?: When staying at the Apartment Parentium you could easily spend your entire holiday without ever needing a car and yet you could still see it all. You could either choose to spend the days trying out different beaches along the waterfront (all about 10-30 minute stroll from the apartment) or you could walk to the local bus stop (10 minute walk) and go on a different day trip every day. There are many buses going from Porec to all major cultural sites in Istria (Rovinj, Vrsar, Pula, Motovun, Novigrad, Groznjan just to mention a few). There are also many organized day trips so you could wake up one morning and stroll down to the port (2 minutes) and catch the catamaran to Venice, Italy for a day trip! On the lazy days why not just wonder the ancient cobble stoned street, explore the old venetian architecture and hop into one of the many ice cream shops for a treat!

WHO IS THIS PROPERTY FOR : When renovating this property I tried to make it as versatile as possible so it could be a true 'home away from home'. Having two separate bedrooms and 1 bathroom makes it perfect for parties up to 4 people whether families, couples or friends. The living room separates the two bedrooms affording maximum privacy between the two rooms. There are two pull out beds which can be set up in the bedrooms. This property is most comfortable for up to 5 adults and 1 child or 4 adults and 2 children.
