Villa Leoni is a comfortable villa in a tranquil location. It is set in an acre of grounds with mature fruit, nut and olive trees and has a large traditional pizza oven and an above ground pool, 15' diameter by 3' high. The villa is traditionally built out of local stone, with high ceilings to keep rooms cool in the summer. Inside the villa there is a sitting room, with wood burning stove, air conditioning, TV, DVD player, stereo, and dining area. Off the sitting room there are two double bedrooms, one with a king sized double bed and one with twin beds, which can also be made up as a king sized double. A fold out bed and a travel cot are also available. The kitchen is well appointed, with a washing machine, microwave oven, fridge freezer and gas cooker. Most of the large appliances were new for 2008. Outside, the garden is peaceful and secluded. There is a large veranda with garden furniture for outdoor dining, as well as a BBQ and the large pizza oven.

Villa Leoni is located just 3km outside the popular town of San Vito Dei Normanni., between San Vito and mesagne. San Vito has lovely piazzas, a castle, and some beautiful churches. In the summer there are several festas and there is always something going on in the main piazza. Nearby Mesagne and Caravigno also have some beautiful and historic buildings and are worth a visit. A little further afield, Lecce, the 'Florence of the south' and Alberobello are must-sees. Lecce is famous for its baroque architecture and its Roman amphitheatre. Alberobello is a fascinating town comprised of trulli, the unique circular stone houses found only in Puglia. There is also much to do for the young, or young at heart, in the area, such as go-karting and horse riding, as well as swimming and sunbathing on the wonderful beaches. There are theme and aqua parks approximately thirty to forty minutes drive away. The nearest golf course is also approximately 30 minutes drive away.

Notes: The villa had new double glazing and mosquito netting fitted in 2008. Owners live locally and can assist you promptly with any problems. The pool is available from June to mid-September. It may be possible to provide a pool outside these periods by prior arrangement and on payment of an additional fee to cover set-up costs. Arrival and departure times-arrive after 3.00 pm, depart before 10.00am. However, we will attempt wherever possible to fit in with flight times.
