This Ocean Breezes apartment is light and colourful and the perfect base from which to explore St Ives and it's buzzing artistic community. Situated just minutes from Porthmeor beach, the Tate gallery and the centre of town you have access to a host of quality restaurants, shops, galleries, the art school, fishmongers and delis for fresh and local produce. The apartment itself is newly developed and finished to an excellent standard, so you'll find it comfortable and easy to relax. For nights in you'll be fully equipped with digital TV, DVD and i-pod player. The apartment would suit a couple with or without a child (dbl bed only, no twin room). It's ideal for summer or winter breaks alike and you can make it an active, relaxing, artistic, romantic or family trip as you wish. There are plenty of places to visit around Cornwall too, like The Eden Project, Lands End, St Michaels Mount, Hale Sands or Godrevy, and the public car park opposite makes this easy.

All the Cornwall coastline is beautiful but St Ives is especially scenic. There is a reason why scores of artists used to flock here (and still do), and that is the wonderful light that comes from every direction off the sea - you'll notice this as soon as you wake up each morning. It is also renowned for its mild climate - it gets it's fair share of sun which you can tell by the palm trees. Ocean Breezes was recently converted from a hotel to flats. It sits at the top of the hill, directly above Porthmeor beach and the Tate gallery one way (2 mins walk), and the other side of the hill is the town and picturesque harbour through cobbled streets and old fishing cottages (5 mins walk). Conviently the public car park is opposite (£35/wk). There's plenty to do in St Ives itself: 3 great beaches, lovely restaurants and cafes, galleries, very good art classes at the painting school for a start. But don't miss Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Godrevy Lighthouse, Mousehole.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Rates quoted include renting the flat and provision of all bed linen, bath towels, bath mats and tea towels (not beach towels). Rates do not include any meals.
  • A 50% deposit is required to secure the booking. Payment is required in full 8 weeks prior to your holiday.
    Please note: If you are paying from abroad, you will need to pay via a bank transfer. This will incur a charge - how much depends on your bank (from the UK is £15).

    A breakage/security deposit of £150 per booking applies. This will be returned within 14 days of the end of the holiday subject to a no-damage report and return of the keys to our agent.
    Please note: If you are paying from abroad in Euros we ask for the security deposit as a cheque which will not be cashed unless there is a breakage / damage etc, or pay via bank transfer but with an additional £15 charge to cover us repaying your deposit.
  • Christmas and New Year 09 are Monday to Monday bookings but this is flexible.
    If you would like to rent the apartment over a weekend (3 nights) then ask us as we may be able to accommodate this.

Notes: The flat is newly developed and well furnished so it's modern, comfortable, clean and secure. Plus it is very warm should you need it to be. When you decide to spend the night in, you will find digital TV with Freeview along with a DVD player and i-pod connection all set up to quality speakers, and a cosy sofa to enjoy it from. The kitchen is large and well equipped for cooking at home. There is even a locked store cupboard for your surf board just outside the flat door. Please note that the balcony is a Juliette style balcony only.
