Chez Bouchard comprises The Barn and The Old Cottage respectively a three bedroom converted barn and a four bedroom farmhouse situated in a quiet hamlet, 2km from the village of Saint Andre de Lidon. The Barn is set in its own grounds, fully equipped and includes a shared 11 x 5 metre swimming pool in a walled enclosure.

The Old Cottage is a traditional farmhouse/cottage with spacious rooms and Charentaise fireplaces located in a quiet hamlet 2km from the village of St. Andre de Lidon. It is a four bedroom, two bathroom house with shared pool and outdoor terrace. The property comprises: Ground Floor: Entrance hallway, Large kitchen/Dining room (new oak kitchen fitted in 2007) with open fireplace. Large living room with open fireplace and French windows opening to garden. Two double bedrooms one with additional single bed. 1 twin bedroom with French windows opening to covered terrace. Bathroom 1 containing shower/bath and wash hand basin newly fitted in 2007. Separate W.C. Bathroom 2 containing shower, wash hand basin & W.C. again newly fitted in 2007. First Floor: Very large children’s bedroom containing 4 single beds with exposed beams.

Situated in a peaceful rural setting Chez Bouchard is close to the sandy beaches of Royan and St. Georges de Didonne. The nearest shops, boulangerie, patisserie, supermarket are but a 3 minute drive or a 20 minute walk away in St. Andre de Lidon. All water sports, cycling, walking, golf, horse riding, fishing and most other pastimes are available nearby. The historic towns of Saintes, Cognac, La Rochelle and Bordeaux are within approximately 1 hours drive. Talmont, situated just south of Meschers on the Estuary is particularly beautiful and a must for a visit. There are regular markets throughout the area at Cozes, Gemozac and Saintes. Saintes, the first capital of Aquitaine during the Gallo Roman Age is the nearest large town. It is rich in monuments from medieval times.
