Small friendly village on outskirts of Granada, close to main road to Sierra Nevada ski area. Close to Alhambra Palace, this was built by the Moorish Kings of Spain in the 9Th Century. The Costa Tropical resorts of Salobrena and Nerja are within easy reach. Valle de Lecrin and Alpuharras mountains close by. Cosompolitan city of Granda is old Moorish City, very stylish with University and a variety of markets and high quality individual shops. Lots of very good restaurants. Granda has many important catholic monuments and stunning architecture. Granada was the birthplace of one of Spain's most important poets Federico Garcia Lorca. Granada has a very temperate climate, the average temperature in the area is varies between 7 degrees C winter and 25 degrees summer.
