This spacious traditionally restored 2 bedroom apartment with characteristic cellar is situated in an historic borgo and forms part of a 16Th century school house. Approach to the village is via a long winding cypress tree lined drive passing a quaint 12Th century church and the local vineyard. Casa Simone stands across the piazza. As you step into the large elevated private garden the view takes your breath away. Enter from the terracotta tiled patio with its uninterrupted views of the rolling Tuscan hills, to the spacious open plan living area with original exposed beams and cotto flooring and relax or dine with a glass of local Chianti. The living area and front bedroom both have double doors opening onto the elevated garden making the most of the stunning scenery . A fully equipped chestnut kitchen is provided for those evenings when you wish to dine alfresco in this idyllic location. The shared swimming pool is short stroll away through the olive grove and also has stunning views.

Bucciano is easily accessible from Pisa & Florence via the Fi Pi Li autostrada and both places are ideal for day trips as they are only 45km away. The popular tourist places of San Gimignano, Siena, Volterra & Lucca are also easily reached in less than an hour. The nearest beach is Viareggio approx 45 minutes away by car. Vinci, the birth place of Leonardo da Vinci is only 20 minutes drive and has a fascinating museum housed in a castle containing examples and models of his inventions. The historical local town of San Miniato which is world famous for its white truffles is 15 minutes by car. There is a market, restaurants and lots to explore in this historical town. La Serra is a small village catering for your general provisions just 2 kms away. Bucciano is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves as well as some lovely walks.   • ? The main bathroom is beautifully tiled with good lighting. The larger than average shower enclosure is recessed into the wall adding to its appeal and of course the room also has a beamed ceiling. There is also a good extractor fan. The wash room does not have a shower but has a toilet basin and bidet. It also has a washing machine. The advantage of this is that you can't hear it when you are relaxing in the sitting room! There is a large bathroom cabinet containing a supply of toilet rolls and cleaning products as well as wash powder. There is also a mop and bucket, vacuum cleaner, brush etc in this room and an iron and ironing board. Both rooms contain modern heated towel rails.

  • The sofa in the sitting room converts to a double bed. The cot is available on request. It is possible to sleep 7 on request which is ideal if the grandparents are coming along. GARDEN ROOM Sit up in the large wrought iron double bed and drink in the view through the open door onto the garden whilst sipping your morning Espresso. Both bedrooms have been furnished with typical Tuscan furniture in particular the beautiful hand crafted wardrobes and wrought iron beds. Bedside tables and lighting are also provided. Both rooms also have extra blankets if necessary and hairdryers. There is plenty of storage space in each room so that you can unpack properly and an all important mirror and shelf ! THE PIAZZA ROOM is larger with a single bed as well as a large double. This is ideal if you have 3 children or if you re 2 couples travelling together. There is a double sofa bed in the living room if required.

Notes: The living area is a very spacious 36sqm and the sofa bed in this room is double. One bathroom has a shower, wc, wash basin & bidet whilst the separate wc also has wash basin, bidet and washing machine. An iron, ironing board & hair dryer are provided for your convenience and to try to keep your luggage weight to minimum. We provide all linen and towels except beach towels. Access is ideal for prams and pushchairs as there are no steps from the car park. A private parking space is provided. There is shared swimming pool 15m x 8m which is open from May to October and has shower and changing facilities as well as tables and chairs. The living area is accessible to wheelchairs but the doors into the other rooms IE the bathroom are not wide enough

We had a wonderfull stay in Casa Simone, the appartment was very comfortable, clean and outside you have a wonderfull view. And we also loved the swimming-pool.
The owners are very kind and helpfull, so we got a lot off fine information. Very good restaurants, where we had excellent dinners!!
Many nice Toscan cities are not far from here. All I have to say, it's a great place to stay and discover Toscane, we will be back!

Peaceful relaxing place in Toscana

We have spent one week in this beautiful and relaxing place with our four kids. The rooms were clean and we enjoyed to stay there! The equipment was very good. The view outside of the house was amazing and wonderful. Swimming in the pool, very near to the house, was very relaxing. Very positive for little kids are the toys in the house.
When we will come back to Toscana, Casa Simone will be seriously one of our preferential choises!
