This former sheeps barn has recently been converted to a modern gite with careful consideration to leaving original features to give an olde world feel in a light and airy space. Downstairs is open plan with large living room with sofa bed to sleep 2, wooden staircase and kitchen/dining room with table to seat 6, which leads onto a downstairs shower room and separate utility room with washing machine. Upstairs consists of 1 master bedroom with double bed and view of the village of Hodeng Hodenger the second bedroom has a 4' double bed, single bed and cot with window overlooking the garden. Bathroom with bath. Outside has graval drive space enough for 3 cars, patio area and lawn with view of the pretty village and church.

The gite is situated in the pretty village of Hodeng Hodenger on the edge of the forest of Lyon which offers plenty of opportunity for walking and cycling. There are many chateaux, farms, museums and gardens near by, including Monet's garden at Giverny. The beautiful old city of Rouen with its catherdral and churches is 30 minutes away and Paris approximately 11/2 hours. The picturesque town of Honfleur and the lovely beaches of Deauville and Trouville are approx 11/2 hours with another 1/2 hour further on are the historic Normandy war beaches. Many of the local villages and towns offer regular traditional markets on various days. There are a number of restaurants nearby offering traditional french and international cuisine. One of the few grand casinos in France is situated in the local town of Forge Les Eaux. There are 2 small amusement parks within 45 minute drive as well as Disney Land and Asterix Park further afield.

My wife and I along with our two daughters 4 & 7 spent a great week at this lovely little Gite. We would recommend this rental to anyone seek a quiet getaway in lovely surroundings in a well and comfortably furnished holiday home. We did not lack anything we needed while there. The hospitality of the owner showed through. We were met by fresh French bread, homemade preserves, a bottle of wine and all we needed for our first night. Very tidy and clean, very well maintained. For example the lawn was well trimmed and everything was in its place and worked. The owner communicated very well and was very prompt both before and after our stay. Very reasonably priced and we found the description of the rental very accurate. Our daughters had their own bedroom and beds and loved them. The owner has pictures of each room of the rental before and after it was refurbished hung though out. I enjoyed very much looking at all the work that has been put into this picturesque holiday home. Hope you enjoy it as much as we have. If we can we will rent it again.

First Guests to stay in Gite and found it very pleasant in a lovely village.
easy reach of shops Ed's 10Mins away -The 2 bathrooms are ideal if children stay.
Rouen is 45 mins away-Public Holiday when we visited !!
The Property is clean and well maintained.

We especially liked the Birds and animals at Cleres Zoological Park and
The V1 Ramp at Bellencombre with a doodle bug on the Ramp.

We would recommend this property for people who like to unwind in the countryside-walking,Biking or exploring.
