Beautiful villa available for rental in Lanzarote. The villa is situated on Montana Roja, an inactive volcano. The views are breathtaking, across the bay and over to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura. You can visit Lanzarote to explore the island or just have a totally restful holiday. The villa offers first class accommodations, with three twin bedrooms, two of which have en-suite bathrooms. There is a third, separate, shower room and toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped to a very high standard, offering all the mod cons you would expect at home. There is an outdoor dining area with a built-in BBQ for those balmy evenings. The villa also offers guests the use of a private heated pool and large sun terrace. There is a local bus service approximately 7 mins. walk from the villa, so a car is not essential, although, for more freedom and exploring, it is advised. There are various books, games and films available for use at the villa. *****NO TIME WASTERS PLEASE.*****

Places of interest on the island and in and around Playa Blanca. The national park of Timanfaya is a volcanic field where visitors can discover a great variety of geological phenomena. Jardin de cactus, guatiza. The cactus garden is one of cesar manrique's last works. The artist turned an old quarry into an impressive cactus plantation. The museum of contemporary art is located in Arrecife, in the San Jose castle, a fortress built between 1776 and 1779 by king Carlos III. There is an aqua park near Teguise for the younger or just more energetic visitors. Marina Rubicon, Playa Blanca. With its designer shops and trendy bars and restaurants makes it a great place for watching the world go by. Papagayo beach, Playa Blanca is protected against any development. You can access it by bumpy road, which has a toll charge or by water taxi from the town. It is a beautiful island, well worth a visit!!

Additional information about rental rates

  • 25% non-refundable deposit required along with a £200 refundable damages deposit at time of booking. Final payment due 6 weeks before departure. Bookings made for departure dates closer than 6 weeks, the full amount is payable upon booking.
  • All rates include a welcome pack. Linen changes are once weekly. Beach/pool towels are supplied in addition to bath towels.
  • Rates are based on up to 4 people sharing, £50 extra per additional person per week. There is an £85 per extra day charge, for people that want a slightly longer stay. Minimum stay of 3 days.*****NO TIME WASTERS PLEASE*****

Notes: There are plenty of films to watch and books to read, even some games to play. There is also a built-in sound system with speakers in every room, to plug in ipods etc. Bath and pool/beach towels are supplied. Visitors coming for more than 1 week will have their linens changed after the first week. All visitors will receive a welcome pack with essentials. There are 8 sun loungers for use around the pool. The pool now has a shallow end and roman steps, for easier access.

Fabulous Holiday

The villa was beautifully furnished to a very high standard and very clean. The location is positively serene, you can see the whole bay and beyond. Noticing the comments about the pool, the roman steps and shallow end are now fitted, however, I still would never leave children unattended near/in any pool, no matter how shallow/deep the water! The owners could not have offered a more professional or friendly service. We received a (very welcome) welcome pack with all the essentials to keep us going until we got to the shops. Down in the town you can do all manner of water-sports, from pedalo to paragliding(we didn't). The marina is particularly pretty and has some lovely bars (cafe del mar) and restaurants (casa roja), although they are a bit dearer than the other end of town, but, nice for a treat. We would definitely recommend friends and family and we probably will go again....sooner the better.

We like to get to know the people we rent to, it makes it much more personal, hopefully like a home from home when you return. We are also very pleased you enjoyed our newly refurbished pool! We, too, think it is much better. Pool safety is paramount and children should NEVER be left unattended whilst swimming/playing in/around the pool.

The perfect destination for a chilled out break

In August 2008 we were looking for a relaxing villa holiday with our two young children. Casa Serena was the perfect family holiday home for our 10 day stay. The villa itself is decorated and equipped to a really high standard; but its the outside area that made it for us. During the day we were in and out of the pool the whole time and in the evenings we barbecued and chilled out whilst watching the sun go down over the fabulous views from the villa. (One thing to remember if you have got children who can't swim is that the pool does not have a shallow end, but we got around this by using a swim suit with floats in for our 3 yr old.) The owners couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome in their villa. Everything about Casa Serena meant that we enjoyed a laid back and relaxed holiday and there is absolutely nothing I could find fault with. I can't wait for our next visit!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we are currently getting estimates to have a shallow end put in the pool as well as roman steps, instead of the ladders. We hope the work can start soon and that it will make the pool more comfortable for future use.
