Large south facing 2 bedroom apartment 60m2 with balconies on three sides. There are magnificent views over Cote 2000 and Megeve and down the valley towards Praz sur Arly. The master bedroom has a double bed and benefits from the morning sunshine with French windows leading on to the balcony. The second bedroom has an Austrian twin bed and washing facilities and also has French windows leading onto the balcony. The large living room has 2 sofa beds that can both folded down to make double beds as well a dining table which seats up to eight people and French windows leading onto the balcony for the afternoon and evening sun. The kitchen is well equipped with oven, four ring burner, fridge-freezer, microwave, pierrade and a wide range of cooking utensils, pans etc. The kitchen also has a breakfast bar. The bathroom has a bath and shower and there is a separate toilet.

Megeve is open all year round and is a perfect location for an active or relaxing holiday whatever the season. Megeve has a picturesque centre with a pedestrianised thirteenth century square with cobbled streets and horse drawn taxis. There is a wide range of shopping, a casino, nearly 200 restaurants, two cinemas, bars and nightclubs, spas, facilities and organised activities to suit all the family. The Palais de Sports is 100m from the appartment and offers fantastic facilities including an ice-rink, two indoor pools, two outdoor pools including one with water slides, sauna-hammam, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, climbing wall, gym, ping pong, and archery. Many of these facilities are free to under 5’s. There is a varied programme of cultural events throughout the year e.g. jazz festival, snow polo, vintage car race, ballroom dancing (French Open), World Cup ski races . There are several swimming lakes within 15 mins drive. Many of the lifts are open summer as well as the winter.

Notes: The sports centre 100m from the apartment has large grassed area around the outdoor swimming pools and offers an ideal location for a relaxing day in the sun. The facilities include sauna, hammam, fitness centre indoor and outdoor tennis courts and several childrens play areas for children of all ages plus archery, table tennis, a climbing wall, trampolining, ice rink plus media and conference centres. The apartment also has a communal garden and residence parking places. There is a storage space in the basement for sports equipment such as bikes and ski equipment that can be made available. For an adrenalin packed holiday the lifts are open from mid June to mid September for mountain biking, and walks with spectacular views over Mont Blanc. Locally there is outdoor climbing, white water rafting and canyoning as well as parenting, tree top adventures and light aircraft flights.

Airy, roomy 2 BR central Megeve apartment

We three adults stayed in the apartment for 10 days at the end of September. We found it to be very well equipped (the owners supply bedding and towels) and perfectly located and with beautiful views of the Cote 200 and the valley down to Albertville from the large windows and glass doors, leading out to a wrap around balcony. The owners are friendly and accommodating. For those with children the Palais des Sports with pool/rink is across the road, as is a large kid's playground.
Conveniently across the road is a patisserie/bread/coffe/tea cafe with a boucherie/deli next door. The great friday market is a few steps away and it is a 5 minute walk to the centre of the town. A ski lift is also located a few steps away.
We have recommended the apartment to our friends and for those who are a larger group the British owners have a delightful chalet for rent. Great value, hassle-free stay. Thanks Kate and Paul. We will be back!
