Banbridge is a vibrant shopping town on the main Dublin to Belfast road. It is an ideal location for touring Northern Ireland, only a few miles from the Mourne Mountains, Lough Neagh and the Bronte Homeland Drive. Within easy driving distance to the Causeway Coast, Fermanagh Lakes and Tyrone Crystal Factory. Banbridge is famous for Irish Linen; there is a factory shop in the town. There are six excellent, 18 hole, golf courses within ten miles and the World famous Royal County Down Links Course is only 20 miles away. Banbridge is also perfect for commuting to Belfast.

A true Irish welcome

my brother and I spent two weeks in October/November in this beautiful cottage, which was ideally situated for visiting many of our relatives still living in Northern Ireland. It was just under an hour and a half drive to Dublin, where we visited friends in Malahide and picked up family from the airport.
Our hosts Audrey and Philip couldn't have been more welcoming, we were treated like friends, not visitors, from day 1. Audreys welcome pack was amazing, and included home made wheaten bread and buttery shortbread...delicious...and then home made scones left by our front door when we arrived home one evening....the cottage is beautifully furnished and has absolutely everything you would need...we were even able to entertain 6 relatives for dinner during our visit...i have been using holiday rentals for over ten years with my own family of 6, this is by far the best accomodation and hospitality i have ever experienced...many thanks Audrey, rest assured we WILL be back...

As John has said "Lynwood Cottage" is situated just one mile from the A1, the main road between Belfast and Dublin, so why not treat yourselves to a stay and sample some of my delicious home-baking.

Great place to stay!

We stayed in this beautiful cottage over a weekend fri-mon. Everything was provided including some delicious home-baking on arrival.
The owners were more than helpful and extremely pleasant.
We also took our 4 year old son who found it great too. There was more than enough room for us all. The cottage is situated in a great location with good links to other counties. We are planning our next trip already.
I would rate this accomodation highly and recommend it to anyone.

Just perfect

The welcome received, home made wheaten bread and shortbread, not to mention a lovely greeting from the owner. The facility was clean, well laid out, every comfort provided e.g. T.V., D.V.D., video, dishwasher, washing machine, lovely bathroom, even a B.B.Q in the garden, nothing was lacking. We had privacy and because the facility was so well placed able to visit all the tourist locations with ease. Have no hesitation in recommending this to beautiful cottage to anyone who wants to visit Co.Down and beyond.

The Perfect Getaway!

This delightful cottage exceeded my every expectation! From the minute we arrived we felt most welcome and really enjoyed the fresh home-baking (wheaten bread and shortbread) provided by the owner. The cottage is very well-maintained, tastefully decorated, and was a most comfortable base for our stay in Banbridge. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. We'll definitely be back!

Great Accommodation

We stayed in this charming cottage. Travel to Belfast was so easy for business. The Owners could not have been more helpfull.
The scenery in Co Down is just breathtaking. I'll stay here again.
