Lovely cottage-style house standing in its own garden, in a quiet little village. Bricks and half-timbered (creamy white and 'Woodruff' green by the Paint Library). Sleeps twelve, 5 bedrooms. Fully equipped. In the heart of Normandy's Vexin region, close to a number of interesting sites, including castles, abbeys and gardens. A 10-minute drive to Les Andelys and the chateau Gaillard, built by Richard the Lionheart, or to Lyons La Forêt, a beautifully preserved village founded by William the Conqueror, setting for the movie adaptation of Madame Bovary. A 30-minute drive to Monet's gardens at Giverny, or to the cathedral in Rouen. One-hour to van Gogh's house in Auvers sur Oise, to Paris, or to Dieppe on the coast. Local gardens to visit include the contemporary garden in the Vandrimare chateau and the kitchen garden in Saint Jean de Frenelle. The ruined Abbaye de Mortemer and also the Fontaine Guérard. Gardens, abbeys, chateaux, ...: Giverny, Jardin Plume, Jardin de Vandrimare, Jardin d'Angélique, Jardin Agapanthe, ... are all less than an hour away. Equally close are the Abbaye de Mortermer, La Fontaine Guérard, the Abbaye de Bonport, as well as the Chateau de Vascoeuil, Chateau Gaillard, the Chateau de Fleury, etc.

Music: Music lovers will enjoy high quality concerts at Moulin D'Andé, a music academy that organises seminars every summer.
