Villa Chella is a private home on a hillside overlooking the sea, suitable for couples or a family. The Villa lies in beautiful gardens. It is modern and luxurious incorporating many Madeiran features. These include a balcony and patios facing east, south and west offering maximum sunshine. It is very secluded and approached by a secure gated drive with ample parking. Within is a large open plan lounge and dining area. There is a 42' flat screen (free view TV channels)with a CD and DVD player. The kitchen includes a breakfast table for 4 to 6 people and has all modern facilities. The laundry room has a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is an office with Broad Band access Upstairs the Master Bedroom has a balcony facing south and east overlooking the sea. There is an en-suite bathroom with bath and separate shower,two further bedrooms and family bathroom. There is ample wardrobe space.

Villa Chella in Estreito do Calheta provides a perfect location for exploring Madeira. Calheta village is situated to the South West of the island and has the most sun and the least rain of any destination in Madeira. The golden sandy beach is 5 minutes away (by car) and there is a beautiful Marina with shops, restaurants and a Supermarket. Calheta Beach Hotel offers a spa, swimming pool and gym open to the public for a small charge. Similarly five minutes drive takes you to Jardim do Mar (garden on the sea), a picturesque village or ten minutes, to Levada walks through pine and eucalyptus forests into open land to the west. More adventurous walks, beautiful gardens, Quintas and places to see are not far way as Madeira's new road system ensures a maximum journey time of 30 -45 minutes to almost any destination. For lovers of golf there are two championship courses . Alternatively, you may just sit in the sun and read if you like. Madeira is a paradise island, come and enjoy it.

    The above rates are for 2 adults, no additional charge for 2 children, under the age of 16. Price negoitable for addition child. Each additional adult is charged at 150 Euros per week.     Reservations: A 300 Euro deposit is required to confirm a booking. Balance of rental is payable six weeks before arrival. If a booking is made within six weeks of arrival full payment is required before booking.Minimum stay is for 7 nights. Refundable deposit of 100 Euros is required for damages, loss of keys or remote control. We strongly recommend that our guests take out Travel Insurance as rental payments are not generally refunded on cancellation. Our agent is able to arrange car hire for you. Clients will be met by our agent at an arranged venue and shown around the property

We were met en route from the airport and led to the villa by Rose (the owners agent) and given a guided tour of the villa and its excellent facilities It was comforting to know that she was at the end of a phone should we have needed her.
The villa is in an imposing, elevated position overlooking the sea and is beautifully furnished, with every conceivable electrical appliance to make our stay as comfortable as possible..The description and photographs on the website were totally accurate.
The owners had produced a booklet which was a mine of information and we took advantage of their knowledge and experiences of restaurants and places to visit and were never disappointed.
A car is very necessary and we found driving easy and very enjoyable with some spectacular roads over the mountains and stunning views to match.
There was an abundance of restaurants, serving excellent food, within a short drive of the villa and only once did we venture into Funchal to have a very enjoyable meal with friends at one of the numerous eateries on the harbour.
We found the villa to be in a perfect position to explore the island, going levada walking,relaxing with a book or chilling out with a glass of wine in its beautiful and peaceful surroundings.
Rose had made us very comfortable about our choice before we even left the UK and the owners were kind enough to enquire that we had enjoyed our visit upon our return home. We certainly did. We loved it and are planning to return with friends in the coming year to show them what relaxing really means.
