Casa na Colina is a modern house with easy, level access to the upper floor containing the kitchen, sitting room with dining area, 2 bedrooms and main bathroom making it ideal for disabled guests. A beautiful marble staircase leads to the lower floor of two bedrooms, shower room and an open sitting area with sofa-bed. From here doors lead out to the veranda and garden with its panoramic seaviews offering peace and quiet. Only 2 minutes drive takes you to the Via Rapido which gives easy access to many of Madeira's other attractions.

Casa na Colina is situated in Estreito da Calheta, a small rural suburb with beautiful open views of the Atlantic Ocean. It is only a few minutes walk (on the flat) from a small mini mercado and bar/cafe run by a friendly english speaking owner whose wife can bake you a delicious Madeiran gateau or flan. The white sandy beach at Calheta is only 5 minutes away by car, where there are plenty of cafes, restaurants, banks, the marina and a supermarket. The gently shelving white sands are ideal for the youngest of bathers while the deep game fishing based at the marina will satisfy the more adventurous. The towns and villages on the south coast are an easy drive away- Ribeira Brava (15 minutes) or Jardim do Mar (5 minutes) - while further afield the dramatic north coastal attractions at Santana, Porto Moniz or Sao Vincente (1-1.5 hours) or the mountainous interior of Paul da Serra (30 minutes) or Pico Arreiro (1.5 hours) offer you a variety of day's outings for your holiday.
