Duquesa:
Duquesa is a marina situated half way between Marbella and Gibraltar. Set in a beautiful location on the Costa del Sol, this marina is really one of the best in Europe.
.Nestled between two clean blue flag beaches complete with beach bars, the port of Duquesa seems a million miles away from the hustle and bustle you would normally expect from the Costa del Sol.
The port boasts a wide choice of amenities including a supermarket, bank, butcher and a wide choice of affordable, top class restaurants which include Chinese, Thai, Italian, English and not forgetting Spanish cuisine. There's also a great Italian ice cream shop as well as many boutiques and numerous bars. All in all Duquesa is the kind of place to unwind and have fun. Whatever your age or type of holiday you are looking for you will be more than pleased with what Duquesa has to offer.
Come and see for yourself why this really is Spain's best kept secret.
Saballinas and Castillo:
Sabillinas has a genuine Spanish atmosphere and enjoys many squares and gardens as well as bars, cafés and restaurants that encourage you to watch the world go by and is about a 1 km walk along the beach to the east of Duquesa
The “blue flag” beach stretches for 1650 metres between the Puerto de la Duquesa and the Rio Manilva and includes the entire frontage of the town of Sabinillas. Although this is a “working beach” where local fishermen still launch their boats the beach is cleaned daily throughout the summer and several lifeguards and first aiders are available.
Castillo is small, typically Spanish, village about 1 km along the beach to the west of Duquesa. It took its name from the18 Century fortress that stands at the entrance to the fishing village. Its history extends back to roman times. This is a very compact village with its own church and a number of pleasant squares and gardens and boasts some of the best fish restaurants at modest Spanish prices.
