Escape to beautiful Belhaven, a conservation village adjacent to Dunbar in the heart of East Lothian. Just 200 meters from the sea, Belhaven Gardens on Duke Street will provide you with an excellent base for exploring the local area - and Edinburgh is only 27 miles away. Super transport links make Belhaven an ideal holiday destination from anywhere in the UK and beyond! Belhaven is perfect for those who want to relax in the quiet local countryside, spend time on the stunning beaches or enjoy a round of golf. The house has a large garden where many a day can be spent relaxing, playing croquet or having a BBQ in the Scottish sunshine. Dunbar is often named Sunny Dunny! Belhaven beach is next to Winterfield Golf Club and is literally just round the corner at the end of Duke Street. Dunbar centre is about a fifteen minute walk away and there you will find a variety of restaurants and shops, as well as a leisure centre.

The house is situated about a mile from Dunbar town centre in an area called Belhaven, right next to a beautiful beach. There are many opportunities to play golf including at the famous Muirfield course only a short drive away. There are also many other prestigious courses in the area and there is even a golf course next to the beach right at the end of the street! Dunbar centre is only a 15 minute walk away along the beautiful sea front. Here you will find a variety of restaurants and pubs and many shops and supermarkets. Edinburgh is readily accessible by train from Dunbar station and is close to the A1. For those travelling from further afield, Edinburgh airport is only about a 50 minute drive. Dunbar also boasts a lovely leisure centre situated right on the cliff top above the harbour. As well as the local beach there are a number of very beautiful and diverse beaches only a short walk or drive away. For those with young children, there is a country farm park very close by.

  • Although there is only one bedroom, the lounge has a very comfortable sofa bed which is designed for long term use not just occasional. Rather unusually, a small area of the kitchen where the table and seating is situated, converts into a bed too! This is a feature we have kept as we found it rather useful and it has been in place since the house was converted decades ago! However we do not advertise it a s a bedroom or permanent bed!
