The stables are two semi-detached holiday cottages that have been converted to include every comfort. The accommodation is all on one level. The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and oven with ceramic hob. The main bedroom has a comfy double bed and fully glazed french doors and the second bedroom has 3ft bunk beds also with french doors. The bathroom has a bath with shower, WC, basin and heated towel rail. The living room has two sofas, table and chairs. There is a tv with dvd player, music system and a selection of games and books etc. This room opens onto the patio and garden which looks out directly onto the open fields and outstanding view.

The stables are situated on a 70 acre working farm in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Our nearest village is Bodle Street Green (1mile), where there is a pub and the larger market towns of Hailsham, Heathfield and Battle are a 15 minute drive away. There are also regular farmers markets in these towns. If you fancy a day at the beach, Eastbourne, Bexhill and Hastings are only half an hour away and there are many towns of historic interest nearby, such as Battle, Pevensey, Rye and Lewes. Children can be entertained at the popular Drusillas zoo, Knockhatch adventure park and Paradise Park or if you prefer some culture you can visit Wakehurst, Sissinghurst, Batemans or one of the many historic houses and gardens in the area. Whatever you like to do you will be spoilt for choice in this beautiful part of rural Sussex.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Costs include linen and welcome pack. A 30% deposit is required on booking with full payment payable within 8 weeks of booked dates.
  • The guests remain liable for any damage or repair necessary to the Stables caused by themselves. They must also draw attention to the owners about the said breakages or damage.

    Cancellation: The amount paid by the guest will be refunded (less deposit) if cancellation is more than four weeks before the rental period. If cancellation is less than four weeks before the start of the rental period a refund will only be made if the owner can re-let the accommodation for the said period.

    Guests are responsible for their own holiday insurance.
  • A charge of £15.00 for electricity may be charged during the colder (winter) months.

Wonderful stay at Stud Farm

Our family (parents and two young children) enjoyed a wonderful week at Stud farm. The property is tastfully furnished and very well equipped. The owners are very friendly and helpful. On our arrival we found flowers on the table and a basket with food for the first evening.
The farm is a good starting point for various activities and attractions, provided you have a car at your disposal.
We can only recommend a stay at Stud Farm.

What a fantastic holiday cottage. In the midst of beautiful surroundings and so quiet. Tastefully converted, comfortable and well equipped with nothing being too much trouble for the owners. Great for families due to local amenities and close to coast and London, but equally good for couples who want a quiet and relaxing break. Would highly recommend to anyone.
