It is set in an exclusive complex comprising of approx 20 similar units bordering a large lawn area surrounded by subtropical flowering shrubs and palm trees. The main feature of these gardens is the superb swimming pool and spectacular views towards Mount Mongo. The property easily accommodates 6 people in 2 twin and 1 double bedroom. The apartment is situated in a sought-after quiet residential area of Denia, nestled at the foot of the Mount Montgo Massif, but is only 500 metres from Denia town and is also very close to the excellent beaches, coves and restaurants.

Dénia is located on the Mediterranean coast 95km south of Valencia & 100km North of Alicante. It is a delightful cosmopolitan town, which has retained much of its Spanish character and charm. Denia has almost 20 Kms of coastline. To the north of the town, there are extensive Blue-Flag beaches of fine sand and shallow waters. To the south lie a series of small coves along the rocky coast, known as Les Rotes, which is a paradise for fishermen and divers. The Montgó Mountain, shared by Denia and Javea, is the major landmark of the area. The town, origianlly a small fishing village, sits at the foot of a hill crowned by a castle. The old fisherman's quarter has delightful cobbled streets and whitewashed buildings and a daily fresh fish market, whilst the main tree lined town centre boulevard, has still retained its Spanish charm and character, although now providing many designer boutiques along with the more traditional spanish shops to browse.

Notes: The totally refitted & modernized kitchen is very well equipped & includes a hob, oven, convection/microwave, large fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Bedrooms 2 & 3 along with the Lounge have their own ceiling fans although the property is also air conditioned. All exterior doors are fitted with ornate wrought iron security gates, which when locked enable doors to be left open and mosi screens drawn, so as to provide a through draft as an alternative to air conditioning. The property has a large patio, on half of this is a table with 6 chairs (2 of which recline), above this area is a wind-out awning to completely shade the table when necessary. There is also a gas BBQ available for use on the Patio by our guests during their stay.

Shopping & Eating: Denia has a classy tree-lined boulevard with cafes, restaurants and is the place to buy designer wear. There is also a regular Monday market, where many a bargain can be found. This is at Plaza Jaime 5 minutes walk from our Property. 'Mercadona', the popular Spanish food outlet is still the Costa Blanca's main supermarket and is situated again at Plaza Jaime.On the outskirts of Denia there is also the new La Marina Shopping Mall with designer shops, multiplex cinema and bowling alley. Denia ia a cosmopolitan town, with an excellent selection and wide variety of restaurants, including tapas bars, pizzerias, steak houses and small cafes.The new marina on the edge of the town has a number of stylish bars, cafes and restaurants situated on the purpose built spit jutting out into the bay. The new Marriot Golf & Spa Resort, which adjoins the golf course at La Sella,15 mins drive away, has a choice of 5 restaurants and a Alanya Spa available to non-residents.

Local Attractions: From Denia to Alicante in the South , there is a narrow gauge railway line called 'El Trenet', which is the best form of transport to view the area's magnificent scenery.It is also useful as an alternative to a car Drive, if wanting to visit Benidorm which is 30-40 minutes away. The fantastic theme park Terra Mitica (similar to Disney and Universal) is situated just outside Benidorm. The Stunningly Beautiful natural water falls at Fonts D'algar are a 45minute drive Inland. Here you can spend the day swimming in the crystal clear cool water and then indulge in excellent Paella at one of the local restaurants. The amazing Hill Fortress Town of Guadalest is a further 20 minutes Drive Inland from here, but if kept for another day can be seen thoroughly, followed by a late lunch and a swim in the municipal pool which can be viewed from the uppermost view point. 30 minutes North of Denia in Cullera is a lovely family water Park called Aqua Pollis - worth a visit too.

Golf,Tennis & Walking: The stunning 6000 metre 18 hole par 72 La Sella course is less than 15 minutes drive away (approx 8 km). This course is due to be expanded to 27 holes in the near future, and adjoins the Marriott Golf & Spa Resort which is open to visitors so the ladies can pamper themselves whilst the men visit the 19th hole. There are several more golf courses close-by including Club de Golf Javea 18 holes (18 kilometres) , Club de Golf Oliva Nova 18 holes (17 kilometres) and Club de Golf Ifach 9 holes (25 kilometres). Club de Golf La Sella, Denia - Campo de Golf Oliva Nova - Club de Tennis Javea - Costa Blanca Mountain Walkers.

My wife and I and friends have spent a number of holidays at this accommodation. We go back so often for a number of reasons.

First of all, the accommodation itself is EXCELLENT, with everything you need for a comfortable, worry-free, self-catering holiday. Second, the apartment is on a small holiday complex with a large enclosed central garden area, so apart from chilling out on the terrace, there is plenty of space to sit out near the pool and no worries about the kids playing outside. Third, it is just outside Denia so a nice distance for a ramble into town and a 5-minute drive for the supermarket shop (various options). Everything is close so a trip to the beach, the sailing club, the golf course or bars and restaurant is usually no more than a 15-minute car drive.

Denia is a lovely holiday resort, with all the advantages of a town that has welcomed foreign tourists but still has a very Spanish feel about it. There are also lots of day-trip destinations (e.g. 8th century castle at Guadalest, waterfalls at Fuentes del Algar, the town of Javea, water parks at Cullera or Benidirm).

So all the ingredients for a great holiday for everyone!!

Peaceful and well equipped villa

Beautifully maintained villa with fabulous pool and play area for children. Lovely local feel with supermarkets within 5 minutes walk and the town centre/ beach 20 minutes stroll away. Plenty to do or just sit and enjoy the views of the Montgo National Park. Easy access to the motorway means trips to other destinations and attractions are quick to reach.
There are plentiful restaurants or the villa is well equipped with a gas BBQ as well as every kitchen appliance you could need.
Highly recommended, we have visited over the past five years.
