La Massotte Base is a wine domaine with a fine house, 4 stables and a ring, set in 5 acres of parkland and enjoys uninterrupted views across vineyards. The house has been fully renovated and refurbished to an extremely high standard. The superb interior design of the kitchen and dining room gives a real French 'Brasserie' feel with period furniture. The stylish and comfortable sitting room opens on to a beautiful garden planted with magnificent trees and a large terrace with views to the vineyards. Four bedrooms to sleep 6/8 Three luxury bathrooms. Two bathrooms have magnificent walk-in showers in marble stone. 15 x 7 m private pool with stunning views of the countryside. At the entrance of the property there are 4 stables housing two alter réal stallions trained to a high standard. Orchard and vegetable garden.

The property is situated close to the medieval village of St Polycarpe, 10 mn from Limoux and 30 mn from the historic City of Carcassonne, 1h 15 mn from Toulouse, 1 h from the seaside and 1h 30mn from the skiing resorts. All amenities in Limoux, a charming and picturesque town with a large square surrounded with arcades where you can enjoy a drink or a meal in the numerous cafés and restaurants. Limoux is famous for its sparkling wine and its Carnival, the longest in the world. Cultural Activities: Visite of the City of Carcassonne, magnificent walled city with double fortifications and 52 towers. Amazing fireworks spectacle on July 14th, Carcassonne Cultural Festival in July and medieval spectacles in August. Visite of the abbeys of Fontfroide and St Hilaire and the ancient cathar castles. Many interesting museums and even one about Dinosaurs for the younger ones.Sporting activities: canoeing and water sports, walking and cycling, golf, fishing, swimming, adventure park, skiing.
