Villa Marachique is an established complex which is situated in Alvor, 2/3 minute drive to the beach. Villa Marachique has an extra large swimming pool which is surrounded by luxurious gardens. The pool is divided in two halves - the first part being a shallow toddler pool and the second part being the wonderful Xlarge pool for confident swimmers. The pool is strictly for private use by Villa Marachique - pool passes are supplied by the apartment owners. The apartment is graded as a luxury apartment and is furnished to a high standard, it has all the amenities you require to make your holiday special. The apartment is situated on the ground floor with private balcony which overlooks the pool and gardens. The apartment is suitable for any age 0 - 99 !

  • Rental is charged per week.
    £150 deposit per week is required to secure the booking - A booking form will be sent/emailed - we ask for it to be filled in and returned as soon as possible.
    Balance 8 weeks prior to going.
    A Separate £150 breakages deposit is required. This is refunded when keys are received back on the understanding that no breakages have occured.
    Keys posted 10-14 days prior to travelling date. Full details will be given.
  • Prices range from £275 low season - £799 peak season.
    Our prices vary throughout the year and for this reason, we prefer to give prices upon request.
    We may be able to offer discounted/special rates etc.
    We try to be flexible with dates. Mid week bookings are possible depending on time of year. Always ask.
  • We consider our guests' needs and always try to accommodate where possible ie if you have difficult flight times etc. We pride ourselves on our friendly service.

At Villa Marachique: Fabulous outdoor swimming pool surrounded by beautiful gardens, with a separate children's pool, available from April through to October. The pool area is for the exclusive use of guests at Villa Marachique, it is equipped with sun loungers and sun shades. Non intrusive green security fencing surrounds the gardens/pool, this adds to the feeling of safety especially for families with small children. A fully paid pass is provided by us. A general comment we have from our guests is that Villa Marachique's pool has to be one of the largest in Alvor! Alvor has plenty of good restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and traditional shops.

Beaches: Alvor Beach is 2 Kms, 5 mins. in the car/ 20 mins walking. It has coves, coffee/snack bars dotted along the beach - a peaceful beach with a lovely view out to sea. At night lights shine on the rocks and in the distance you can see Lagos - There is a really rustic charm about Alvor. Praia du Vau 5 mins. in the car. Praia da Rocha 10 mins. in the car. You can get a taxi if you do not wish to walk or hire a car they are inexpensive

Travelling from the Airport etc: Faro Airport to Alvor is about 45/60 minutes drive mostly motorway. Car hire is recommended, but not essential. If you do not wish to hire a car, we can arrange a taxi. Airport bus transfers are available. Car hire is very easy to arrange at the airport. Travelling by bus: There is a local bus stop right outside complex for buses to Alvor and Portimao. You can get information from the Tourist Information Shops - they are always helpful and free maps are available. Advice on local attractions, family days out etc.

Golf: For the Golfers: Alto Golf is practically next door to Villa Marachique, Penina (Champion Golf Course) 10 minutes drive away, several other courses within half an hour's drive.

The apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped. The pool area and gardens were lovely and the little cafe/bar by the pool was a great facility to have. I would have prefered to have been closer to the town for the evening but the taxis are cheap. Overall a great place to stay
