La Ruaudais is a traditional Breton stone lingerie (longhouse) incorporating two independent cottages (a three bedroom and a two bedroom one) offering comfortable accomodation in tastefully decorated interior, including traditional open fireplaces, exposed timbers and stone walls. Cottage 1 (the 3 bed-one) is designed to accommodate people with reduced mobility (wide doorways, adapted bathroom). Each cottage comprises a fully equipped fitted kitchen, a sitting/dining room with a fireplace, 2 WC, shower rooms. There is a terrace outside each cottage, equipped with garden furniture, including a shared B-B-Q, a 1000 square metre garden, children slides and boules area. The property coins set in quiet and picturesque rural surroundings with mature oak and chestnut trees with. Nearby there are many local attractions: parks, museums, picturesque villages, mountain bike routes, golf course, leisure lake. Sea and beaches are 30min away and a visit to the Gulf of Morbihan is a must.

This cottage has been renovated in 2003 to a high standard, incorporating attractive original features such as internal stone walls, exposed beams and an open fireplace. The ground floor consists of an open plan kitchen (fully equipped), lounge/dining room with a fireplace; a double bedroom, a shower room and a separate toilet. Upstairs there is an attractive mezzanine, overlooking the lounge, as well as another bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, and a separate toilet. The property benefits from a proximity to a working farm, offering possibilities for organised farm visits, taking part in certain farm activities (milking the cows, bottle-feeding the young calves, which particularly delights the children), and, of course - tasting the delicious home-made yoghurt! There is a friendly trained dog (border collie), and a horse, which also make the stay particularly enjoyable for the children

The two cottages are set in a quiet picturesque rural area between Malansac and St Jacut Les Pins in an 200,000 square metres of land, with a 1,000 square meter garden, children's play area and boules court. The property is close to all amenities (big supermarket, bakery, butcher's shop, bars, news agents, pharmacy, library with internet access etc.). Malansac is situated in the south of Brittany, near the Morbihan golf, with easy access to various beaches (Damgan, Penestin, La Baule), beautiful medieval towns, a golf course and parks. Just outside Malansac is the famous Prehistoric Park, always popular with the children with its life-size models of prehistoric animals and lush gardens. Within 3 miles is the picture-perfect Rochefort-en-Terre, offering various quaint shops, galleries, restaurants and medieval architecture. Just outside Rochefort-en-Terre there is a lovely lake with a sandy beach, children's play area, tennis and boules courts.
