Avignon, the papal city is within 1 hours drive as is the city of Nimes with its Roman antiquities. To the south at 1 1/2 hrs is the Camargue National Park , wild horses, flamingos and long sandy beaches. To the west, the Cevennes mountain range, chestnut trees and wild scenery. To the east, the Luberon mountains and famous towns of St Remy, Aix en Provence and the incredible Baux de Provence plus all the famous summer festivals, dance and music.
