The original buildings date back to the 1960's and have recently been refurbished to a high standard whilst maintaining its character 'farmhouse' qualities. There are 2 separate living accommodations both rebuilt in traditional style with tiled floors and shuttered windows. Casa Mimosa sleeps 6 people and Casa Maxi sleeps 4. Both contain log burning stoves and A/C units, both essential depending on the time of year you visit, and both contain fully equipt fitted kitchens. Below the house there is a river and the surrounding hills offer endless opportunities for walking, cycling or painting. Goats graze regularly and their bells can often be heard as the sun sets behind the hills. The village of El Sexmo provides some basic shopping amenities such as supermarkets and restaurants, and is a 5 minute drive from the house. Casa Mimosa and Casa Maxi have shared use of the pool which makes it ideal for holidaying with friends and/or family.

Casa Mimosa is primarily on one level, although there are a few steps leading to the master bedroom and en-suite. The accommodation comprises 2 double bedrooms (1 en-suite) and 1 twin bedroom, ! travel cot is also available. There is a large fully fitted kitchen/dining area and an adjoining sitting room. There are 2 A/C units in the house and a log burning stove. Outside there is a large sun terrace with pergola, looking out across the countryside which leads up to the pool area. Another terrace, where the hammocks and swings are hung, joins to Casa Maxi. If the two separate properties are rented together they will comfortably sleep 10. Casa Maxi on its own sleeps 4. Casa Mimosa on its own sleeps 6.

Situated on the edge of the National Park it is easy to feel secluded as you are surrounded by beautiful countryside. Enjoy walking or cycling around the hills, building dams in the river, picking wild flowers or painting the scenery, its all here on your doorstep. Or if you want to go adventuring only a half an hour drive south will take you to the beautiful city of Malaga where you can enjoy tapas and Picasso in the old town, or take a pony ride around the city and enjoy local seafood on the beaches of El Palo. Drive half an hour north up to the lakes of El Chorro, and follow the winding roads to experience the breathtaking views. There are plenty of local places to shop for food and local delicacies like Santa Rosalia or bigger supermarkets in Estacion. The Sunday market in Estacion is not to be missed. You can also sample freshly made churros on Sunday mornings in the village of El Sexmo and enjoy a small market on Tuesdays. Spit roast chickens are available on the weekends too.

  • 50% deposit is required for bookings within 6 months of holidaying,with the other 50% being paid in cash (euros) on arrival to the property.
    20% deposit is required for bookings over 6 months of holidaying, a further 30% is required 2 months prior to the holiday, with the remaining 50% being paid in cash (euros) on arrival to the property.
    This payment scheme is negotiable depending what is convenient for you.
    All deposits are non-refundable.
  • 10% Discount are available if both properties are rented together.
    You can pay in either Euros or Pounds Sterling depending on your preference.
    Checking in time is 14.30 and checking out time is 10.30 if there is a quick turnaround required.
  • Prices include use of gas, electric and water. Linen and towels are also provided. Pool/beach towels are NOT included and are required.
    A security deposit of 100 euros is required upon arrival at the property to allow for any breakages etc and will be refunded at the end of you stay.
