Pendamodi is a traditional Cretan village with easy access to the beaches and tourist facilities of the coastline below. The detached villas stand in a prime position on the edge of the village, with uninterrupted views over the rolling hills, extensive olive groves and vineyards and a short stroll from the local shops and kafenion. The villas are individually designed in traditional style, each with their oen good-sized pool and incorporate a high level of modern comfort. Common features of each villa are a spacious living room with an open fireplace, satellite TV (limited English speaking channels), DVD and CD player, and the open plan kitchens come complete with a range of appliances, including full-size cookers, microwaves and dishwashers. The lounges and all the bedrooms are air-conditioned and a washing machine has been installed in one of the two bathrooms in each villa. The individual outdoor areas are also well furnished to allow for comfortable al fresco relaxing and dining.

A two storey detached 3 bedroomed villa (1 double and 2 twins with plenty of outside sitting area, fully furnished for al fresco dining, looking out over the rolling vine and olive clad hillside. Its lawned garden, complete with sunloungers and umbrellas, encloses a good sized private pool. Inside, the spacious and comfortably furnished living room is air conditioned ln addition to having a an open fireplace for use in the cooler months. It also benefits from a satellite TV (limited English speaking channels), DVD and CD player. There is also a fully fitted open plan kitchen with a full-size cooker, microwave and dishwasher. Also on the ground floor is a large shower room and WC where the washing machine is also situated. On the upper floor the double bedroom and the two twin rooms are air-conditioned and the double has an en suite shower room. There is a further large family bathroom, complete with a bath tub.

Nestling in the foothills of the island's central mountain range, the village of Pendamodi may only lie 15km south of Heraklion, but its sleepy atmosphere could not be further from the hustle and bustle of Crete's busy capital. All around is a bucolic landscape with silvery green olive groves and lovingly tended fields, mainly devoted to the region's famous grapes. The local area provides ample opportunity for walkers to explore the verdant landscape and timeless villages of the heartland of Crete or alternatively visitors can enjoy the surrounding countryside on horseback. Heraklion and the sandy beaches of the north coast are only a short drive away, as are all the major archaeological sites and the relatively unexplored central south coast with its unspoilt beaches is just a little further. Some of the islands most popular resorts lie just to the east of Heraklion as does a large water park and its neighbouring golf course offering a little variety for all tastes.
