Domaine de la Dolce is a true paradise, both for children and their parents. Our three well-equipped and child-friendly gites are set in 2.5 hectares of quiet park- en woodland with a lovely PLAYGROUND, a well stocked and spacious GAMES and PLAY ROOM, and a gorgeous salt-filtered and HEATED swimming POOL. We provide a vast array of BABY and toddler equipment, have a roster of English speaking BABYSITTERS and are happy to get you some shopping before your arrival. You can book a MASSAGE with an English speaking therapist and each gite has an extensive information guide on the facilities and local shops, markets, activities and restaurants. The owners live on the other side of the property with their 7-year old son and are happy to answer questions or give advice. This is a delightful, well-equipped cottage for up to EIGHT people with a maximum of four adults. It is ideal for larger families or two families holidaying together, with FOUR bedrooms, TWO bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen/dining room, and a large south-facing terrace equipped with sunbeds, a large dining table and a Weber barbecue, with views of trees and gently sloping fields. PLEASE NOTE that outside high season it can be rented as a cottage for FOUR people (see Prices). Each of the two Master bedrooms contains a Super King size bed (180 cm wide) with good-quality sprung mattresses, and an antique wardrobe and chest of drawers for ample storage. Each has French doors leading onto the terrace. The two CHILDREN'S bedrooms each have sturdy bunk beds, a wardrobe and chest of drawers, and space for a cot. The EAT-IN KITCHEN is very well equipped and the separate SITTING ROOM provides ample seating space and is equipped with English satellite TV and a DVD and CD player.

Domaine de la Dolce is set among the rolling hills, forests and farmland which separate the Lot and Dordogne rivers. We are on the border of three departments, the Lot, the Dordogne and the Lot-et-Garonne, less than 3 km from the charming medieval village of Montcabrier in the Lot with its traditional wood oven bakery and 14th century church. Within 15 minutes drive are Puy L'Eveque, Villefranche du Perigord, Cahors wine country, the magnificent Chateau Bonaguil and endless country walks. Slightly farther afield are several famous medieval bastide towns such as Monpazier and Monflanquin. An 18-hole golf course is only a half hour's drive away and the many famous prehistoric caves of the region as well as the Dordogne chateaux make an easy day trip. Montcabrier and nearby Loubejac each have their own evening markets in July and August and many fantastic restaurants, farmers markets and large supermarkets are within easy driving distance.   • Additional Booking Conditions:
    - Unless otherwise agreed the rental period is from Saturday 4:00 pm to Saturday 10:00 am. Payment possible in Euro, US Dollar or Sterling by bank transfer or cheque. Please note that we are unable to accept credit cards.
    - 25% deposit is payable upon booking. The balance together with a Euro/GBP 200 breakages deposit is due 8 weeks before arrival.

    - PRICES INCLUDE: tourist tax, infant/toddler equipment, hotel quality professionally laundered bed linen, towels, pool towels, heating, gas, electricity, kitchen and bathroom supplies upon arrival, use of washing machines and dryer and all facilities, a welcome bottle of Cahors wine, and the cleaner for a reasonable end-of-stay cleaning.

  • Both bathrooms have a separate shower AND a bath with shower attachment on the tap (ideal for young children). They also have a heated towel rail for chilly mornings and a window for ventilation. If you have young children, we provide you with bath toys, an anti-slip bathmat and a step for the sink. We also have baby baths and a baby bath seat. Upon your arrival you'll find the bathrooms fully stocked with large bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, bathmats, loo rolls, toilet duck, a soap pump at the sink, shower gel and rubbish bags for the bin. Swimming pool towels are also provided.

  • We provide you with high quality cotton bed linen and towels and the pillows and mattresses have anti-allergen protective covers. When you arrive the beds are made and any baby equipment is set up. The spacious MASTER BEDROOMS each have a SUPER KING SIZE bed (180 cm wide) with a comfortable sprung mattress, ideal for people with back problems. The large antique armoire and chest of drawers provide ample storage space and there is also space for a cot in these bedrooms. The rooms have French doors onto the terrace. The CHILDREN'S Bedrooms contain sturdy bunk beds, a wardrobe and chest of drawers and also have space for a cot. If needed we also provide you with nightlights, changing mat, cot bedding, a baby listener, a bed guard and anything else you might require for your little ones.

Notes: Domaine de la Dolce is very CHILD FRIENDLY. The extensive grounds are absolute paradise for little explorers; playing football or cricket; or dozing under a tree. The lovely GAMES COTTAGE has a toddler play area as well as toys, books and games, table football and table tennis. The HEATED pool with beautiful new sand-coloured liner and limestone terrace is salt-filtered and fenced with lots of sun loungers and umbrellas and the PLAYGROUND is set in a shaded area and has a bench for tired parents. We even have a roster of English speaking BABYSITTERS, so you can enjoy an evening out at one of the many excellent restaurants in our beautiful corner of France.
