Ambience:
Casa Laura sleeps up to 6 people. It's a large, 2 bedroom villa. Casa Laura is a wonderful, brand new architect-designed family home. Complete with professionally landscaped gardens, in its own private land, only a 50 minutes drive from Malaga Airport. We're situated only 15 minutes drive inland from Almunecar's beaches; the villa is situated within its own plantation of olive groves, not overlooked at all, it is exceptionally private with fantastic views of the Mediterranean; the foothills of the Sierra Nevada; and the hill farms of this special part of Andalucia. One particular, often overlooked, attribute, is a complete lack of light pollution; this makes stargazing exceptionally rewarding. The clearly visible Milky-Way and the many shooting stars that one can see,are really visible are a sight to behold. Maybe after a good meal, a few chilled cerveza, perhaps a vino or two & our freely supplied binoculars, and a lovely mellow background often makes for a special, romantic, evening

We have taken care to offer to you the best facilities available, from professional espresso machines, to ipod docks, a super modern kitchen, a comfortable living space, and two bathrooms of the highest quality. In short, all the things that will make your visit comfortable, enjoyable and memorable.
Almunecar has many historical sights including Phoenician, Roman, and Moorish aqueducts, fish factories, and even boasts a castle overlooking the whole area. Almunecar is an interesting town for the visitor, it has good shopping facilities, a charming old town, and plenty of good supermarkets. Horse riding facilities are available nearby and if you wish to take a guided horseback tour into the foothills of the Sierras, this can be easily arranged.
Ski:
The Sierra Nevada skiing area is north of the house towards Granada. Its about a 50km drive to the resort, where the usual ski hire facilities, cable cars, bars and restaurants are situated. Snow boarding is especially popular with local sports enthusiasts.
Golf:
There are 2 golf courses within 30 minutes drive of the villa. Los Moriscos course at Salobrena and La Baviera course is near to Nerja. Further amenities are available around Granada.
