The lovely converted barn is situated just outside and within walking distance of the village of Castelnaud de Gratecambe. The village has small shops, tennis and there is a 18 hole golf course only 2 kms away. At the front is a large covered terrace which opens into the large dining/sitting room. There are French doors opening out to the side terrace and swimming pool area.The kitchen has a central unit, and is well equipped. All the accommodation is on the ground floor, and in a separate area are the bedrooms. Bedroom (1) has a double bed and bathroom (2) en suite with bath, basin and WC. There is a family shower room (1) with Shower, basin, and WC. Bedroom (2) has twin beds, and Bedroom (3) has a double bed with bathroom (2) en suite with bath, bidet and WC. There is an additional shower room (2) and separate WC There is a 8m x 4m swimming pool with ladder steps, a terrace and a BBQ and a garden which has plenty of room for ball games. Linen is for hire.

The Lot Valley is south of the Dordogne and North of the Gers near the rivers Lot, Dordogne, Tarn and Garonne in a beautiful, unspoilt and temperate area of South West France. This open countryside of gentle hills and valleys provides a sense of freedom in green fields, oak forests, vineyards, farmland & charming historical hill-top Bastide towns. Visiting the Lot valley, where there are few main roads and little traffic, takes you back to a rural England of 30 years ago yet with all things French that so many of us dream of. We are about 580 miles from Calais/Le Havre and 430 miles from St Malo. Cherbourg extends the drive by 2 or 3 hours. The area is steeped in history having been part of the battlefield of the Hundred Years War. Many of the castles, villages and towns were built by the English (Aquitaine being British in the 13Th Century on the marriage of Eleanor of Aquitane to Henry II). Medieval Bastide towns, Monpazier, Monflanquin, Tournon d’Agenais, Puymirol, Lauzerte.
