Villa Lefkas Upper is one of a group of three privately-owned villas of a particularly high standard, occupying what must be one of the most desirable locations on the island of Paxos. Just one kilometer north of Gaios, at Anassa, the properties open on to a small and extraordinarily beautiful beach of luminous white pebbles, fringed by trees and lapped by the azure water for which Paxos is famous. The views are glorious and from the villa the mainland is visible as well as the island of Lefkas. Villa Lefkas Upper is quite separate from Villa Lefkas Lower below, with its own entrance and private terraces, but the pool is shared between the two. There are of course more than enough sunloungers and umbrellas to please everyone.

A few steps down from the pool is a stunning beach. Each morning, it really will be a difficult decision: sunbathe by the pool or on the beach! The pretty town and port of Gaios, capital of Paxos and fascinating in summer, is just one kilometre from the villa, along a coastal road. A walk of just 15-20 minutes for those wishing to enjoy the tavernas, bars, shops and people-watching activities that are an essential part of an island holiday. Several other beaches with clear waters and delightful turquoise hues are just a short walk from the villa.

  • The double master bedroom is separated from the shower room by a useful lobby/dressing area, and opens on to a private balcony. The double bedroom is air-conditioned. The twin bedroom is open-plan, situated on the air-conditioned galleried mezzanine floor above the lounge.

Notes: The air-conditioned lounge is equipped with TV and a corner fireplace and has patio windows opening on to the upper terrace with breathtaking views. The terrace is furnished for outdoor dining. The kitchen is bright and airy, with French windows opening on to the terrace. In one corner is the breakfast area. A lot of thought has obviously gone into equipping the villa, and the utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware are of a higher standard than is usually found in holiday accommodation. There is a full-sized cooker and a large fridge/freezer. The swimming pool is shared by both Lefkas Upper and Lower and has been equipped with more than enough sunloungers and umbrellas to satisfy the needs of both apartments. A lockable gate leads to the beach from the pool terrace- there are about twenty steps - making it a simple matter to alternate between the two as the mood takes you. Whether you choose the pool or the beach, the views will never cease to amaze you.

Paxos: Essential Holiday Information: How to get to Paxos: With no airport on Paxos, most visitors fly to the nearby island of Corfu and then transfer by hydrofoil, sea taxi or seaplane. It is an exciting start to your holiday! Charter flights to Corfu operate from most major European airports from May to October. There are also scheduled flights operating from Athens during the winter months. Car Hire or Taxi Transfer: We can arrange a hire car to meet you at the port of Gaios or a taxi transfer. Walking on Paxos: Paxos could easily be described as a giant olive grove! Shaded walks under the trees and coastal tracks, are a delight. The Agni Travel walking map will help you make the most of your holiday. Boat Hire: Renting a motor boat will give a whole new perspective to your view of Paxos. You won't believe how many quiet bays and coves you will find as you motor along the coast. A trip to Anti-Paxos is a must and only takes 20mins from Gaios.

Taxis: there are 6 taxis on Paxos. They offer a convienient service and are not expensive as the journeys are so short. During the evenings, a waiting taxi is easy to find outside of the tavernas at Gaios, Lakka and Loggos. Buses: there are two buses offering a regular service around Paxos and the main villages. Anti-Paxos: A visit to the small nearby island of Anti-Paxos is a must during your holiday on Paxos. Only 15 minutes away by sea taxi or your own motor boat, it has some of the most gorgeous beaches in Greece - quite Caribbean in their combination of fine golden sand and transparent blue water. The sea taxis depart regularly from: Gaios, Lakka and Loggos.
