Photos and Description of this Nice holiday apartment ROMANTIC 1 bed apt in the heart of Vieux Nice.

The open-plan living area has a leather sofa bed, flat-screen television with DVD player, and CD player. The bedroom is located at the quiet rear end of the apartment. There is a double bed, bedside tables and lamps, fitted wardrobes and a small window facing out into a narrow atrium. The chandelier adds a contemporary feel. The kitchen has a four-ring electric hob, an electric oven, plus a large fridge/freezer. The white gloss units complement the oak work surface and there is also a two seater breakfast bar. The dining area boasts a six seater glass dining table under three ornate chandeliers. The ensuite bathroom is fully tiled with a bathtub and shower over with glass screen. There is a sink unit with mirror and WC. 3rd floor. No lift. As is quite common in the Old Town the stairs are steep so might be unsuitable for those with walking difficulties. 40 square metres.

Set in the heart of the Nices picturesque Old Town, Rue de la Prefecture is a bustling little street containing restaurants, shops, and bars. This really is the central hub of the old town and from here the Promenade and beach is only 2 minutes walk away, the bus station 5 minutes walk and around the corner the breathtaking Palais de Justice, a wonderful square with an ornate fountain set outside the halls of justice surrounded by fantastic Nicoise restaurants. The Port area with its fabulous restaurants and antiques quarter is a 10 minute walk along the picturesque Promenade and central Nice is 10 minutes away and is not to be missed for its architecture and, of course, shopping!

Lovely Apartment and perfect location

Stayed 3 nights from 090509 and what a great choice of accommodation. Perfect location two streets back from fresh fruit/flower markets and restaurants and three streets away from sea front. Apartment was a super size for my friend and I, and we used both the double bed and sofa bed. Sofa bed was not the most comfortable and the noise on the nightime was very disturbing if sleeping in the lounge which overlooks a busy street below. But overall, great stay in a very modern apartment with all amenities that you need. Take note of the 4 flights of stairs that you have to climb to apartment, very narrow and steep and definately not recommended to the older generation and families with young children, particularly in buggy's. The management team of Simon and Amanda were very hospitable and attentative, thanks for the warm welcome and your gesture for friends 40th Birthday. Would use again, thanks, Sharon
