Welcome to the Sugar Hill Harlem Inn. We invite you to experience a piece of American History. From the forgotten Weckquasgeek Tribe, to the first middle class families that moved to this block in 1906 to the Harlem Renaissance and right up until today. This part of Harlem breaths history like no other - Sugar Hill. This is after all where Miles Davis came to meet Sonny Rollins and hang out with him, and his Sugar Hill Harlem crowd.
Even before that there was Duke Ellington, his buddy Billy Strayhorn and Paul Robeson, the list is long and there are many more. Sugar Hill Harlem Inn is located in the landmark district of Sugar Hill, in a Victorian townhouse built in 1906. In 2001 we did a complete renovation of all the electric, the plumbing the bathrooms and the kitchens, taking great care to preserve the historical details of the building. All our rooms were decorated by Carol Donawa, a graduate of The New York School of Interior Design.
